| This is written on the other fourm, dont know how true it is.......
Once again, the RFL are blazing a trail in helping member clubs and following their move with the purchase of Odsal Stadium, the governing body are to advance Castleford Tigers £15m against Wheldon Road, which will allow the club to move forward immediately with the new stadium development.
The RFL HQ at Redhall is to be sold and Wheldon Road site will be developed by the RFL to house a new purpose built RFL HQ, this will include much needed training, medical and rehabilitation facilities for the elite of the game, facilities such an IT and other skills training centre, this will help the transition players have to make to integrate into a regular 9 - 5 working environment when they retire from the game.
The RFL see the purpose built development as an investment into the heartland of the game, as well as providing much needed facilities for the welfare of the lifeblood of the game, our players.

It would be better to get behind the club than rip it to bits all the time'"
Why do you think Opus are involved then? Just to make themselves feel good? Its been stated many times in the press that Opus, along with Palmer capital, are providing fuding for the stadium. And I can guarantee you that both Castleford and Wakefield are getting the £2m from the council. Richard Wright admitted this at the meet the dirctors meeting recently. Cas are paying a share but without the 'freebies' that you spout off about it won't happen. Think about it, the stadium is going to cost £13-15 million. In todays climate Wheldon Road just isn't worth that. Where do you think the shortfall is coming from?

"I can tell you the atmosphere was extraordinary at Wheldon Road on big days. The ground held around 15,000 people, every one of them close to the action on the field and the noise would be enough to send a rumble through the town" - Malcolm Reilly "Reilly - A Life in Rugby League":d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_39793.jpg |

'"
I'm sure you can still buy shares from the club, £40 each minimum of 5, I believe. Try contacting Andy Reed to confirm.

You miss the point Alf , it was Robbo who was selling at 30 quid to get more people involved, but as usual he was not being 100% truthful.
I think that share issue at the club is closed now.

| forrard It is RW who continually fails to deliver on deadlines he sets, No one else fault.
I have never said to spend spend spend only faulted him on broken promises, no one believes a word he says he has no credibility.
Its no coincidence the players who promise so much fail to deliver when the root of the problems lie right at the top.
Just because I question what is happening at the club doesn't mean to say im not behind it, democracy is what its called

As I maintain, RW never said a date without the honest intention that he genuinely believed that things would move forward by that respective downfall. He is a victim of his own sword as these things very rarely go smoothly and external circumstances have also contributed.
