Thoughts go out to all those who loved Robbie.
Not quite 12 months ago my 11 year old son returned home with the sad news that his classmate had died in the school swimming pool during a swimming lesson that day. We now know this was as a result of SADS. The kids hugely impressive parents recently launched a foundation to campaign on the issue www.theoliverkingfoundation.co.uk.
You can support them in their aims by visiting epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/29399 and signing their petition which reads like this
SADS can go on undetected, and is something which can affect people aged between 12 & 35 years old. It can be detected by simply having an ECG test. The Oliver King Foundation was set up following the death of Oliver King, a 12 year old boy who died in Wavertree of SADS. We call on the Government to introduce defibrillators to all public buildings by 2017, and provide staff with the appropriate training. We also call on the Government to offer all people aged between 12 & 35 a simple ECG test, which could reduce the current death rate of 12 young people a week.

| We asked the Millward family for today game at Leigh, (THEY WERE all there today) and they requested a minutes applause, so we did just that, plus it was a young lad, so more suitable I suppose. Robbie was a Leigh fan and it was nice to see all his mates there too today.

| Without wishing to detract from what must be a horrific event for the Millward family, I just wondered if anybody on here has any worries about Ian Millward's ability to return to his post at Castleford?
Losing a child, especially so unexpectedly, could take years (if ever) to deal with and I just wonder if he would mentally be in a position to want to return to coaching or whether it will have completely numbed his enthusiasm for the game.
Apologies if that sounds in any way cold, that is not my intention.
RIP

| valid question to ask - despite the horrible things that happen, life has to go on
maybe RL is the only real way Basil will be able to cope with such a tragedy ?
whatever he decides i'm sure everyone from all clubs will wish him and his family all the best wishes in the world
