You are entitled to your opinion though, as I am mine, thus is the spice of life!
I think we all worry mate but we will never know all the facts good or bad. Have a little faith and lets see what the year ahead brings - but you are right, each to there own !
Regards.

| Quote: mdean "The one thing on this thread in recent history I agree with, the scheme's tabled are mutually exclusive I think the phrase is - one happening kills the other on so many levels, not least good sense.
As another thread descends into bickering, I am left with one thought. Nobody at WTWC or CTRLFC has any certainty, magic bullet or cast iron assurance of their scheme actually hand on heart guaranteed, if they did then they would be pouring concrete and buying blocks as we speak.
So regardless of the marginal who thinks they heard what and who 'knows what' for sure - the margins are narrow at the moment for both scheme's and like others I can consider a situation where neither still happen - but not both.
Genuinely, I think that each respective club has enough to be going on with in their own back yard without trying to tell the other where to get on, off or where they are going wrong. If I had a quid for every nailed on cert and bit of inside knowledge, I would be comfortably off, like the rest of us and most of it turns out to be garbage.
So without prejudice I suggest r before wasting another word on someone else’s problems, we all worry about our own, that way we might be able to make a difference as opposed to making a nuisance.'"
Para 2, spot on!!!!
It wasn't about nob measuring, just about the possibility of one being pulled if the other one was succesful, which from my POV seems like a common sense thing to happen, in light of the state of the country, job losses and economies.

| I'm somewhat baffled by the insistence of some on here that the commencement of the building of one stadium will preclude the progress of the other. If a single entity was contributing finances to the building of both that would make sense but each is being built with private funding wholly independent of the other.
The idea that the council can withdraw planning permission to a stadium if the other is built is plainly illogical - once granted planning permission cannot be withdrawn. That's not to say the council couldn't take a different view when the existing permission expires!
The only realistic way that the progress of one stadium would affect the building of the other is if either club has their new stadium underway but the other doesn't by the time the next franchise review comes round. If that's the case then I've little doubt the RFL will jetison the club who's stadium is still stuck on the drawing board from SL. Once that's done the motive for building a new stadium is lost and the club in question is destined to never return to SL.
I know it's fashionable to be all doom and gloom these days but we're on the brink of the new season - how's about we all look forward to that and stop the endless (and entirely hypothetical) bickering about who's stadium will/might/won't get built first?

| One thing we do know is that we will all know where we stand by the Wembley Final, because we will have had the PI decision plus some clarity about progress, if granted, and the Cas position will have either moved on significantly (as funding is the only shortfall) or not at all.
If NM is knocked back, it will be interesting to see what happens next. Cas would have a couple of years to find a buyer, and I wonder how much would have to be done to Belle Vue to make it a Super League stadium. Re-lay the terraces, cover even more of it, improve the seating area. Would have a couple of years to sort it.

Would the owners let you stay there?

| If the PI comes back negative, I think the club would buy BV back from the BoI.
