Why is everyone asuming that the other sporting club is WTW.
Glasshoughton Welfare FC who play in the Northern Counties football league are based at Leeds Road, Glasshoughton less than half a mile from the site of the proposed new stadium.

What I said was that Wakefield became a City when All Saints Parish Church was given Cathedral Status. It is the only reason that Wakefield is a City. |

This has got to be taken into account when looking at WMDC's evidence and more pertinently Yorkcourt's reasons for justifying the stadium to be in Greenbelt.
In fact, the issue that is being negated is the fact that the material objection is not against a stadium at all; it's against the Warehousing and subsequent other facilities lumbered on the same site. The stadium is being used to justify the whole development going through as without the warehousing there is no stadium.'"
Oh just leave them alone , they are only scared that this latest bout of scrounging for a free ride will falter.

Why do these idiots come on our forum?
They have gone bust twice, have left a lot of business either bankrupt or on the brink, have sold their stadium and had it given back by Wakey Council then sold it again to some dodgy offshore company owned by their own leader.
The fact is that WTW have spent beyond their means for the last twenty years and should have been kicked out of Super League or even rugby league as a whole. I would go as far as to say that their behaviour has brought the game in to disrepute.
If I was a WTW fan I would feel ashamed of what they have done to local business's.
