Its not difficult to work out. Cas want rid, he's willing to go but he's a big earner. Wakey willing to take him off their hands but not willing to pay him his full wage so Cas either give him a pay off or pay the difference in salary, otherwise no deal and they are then obliged to pay him his full wage for a player who is unlikely to play. Everyones a winner, Mathers gets new new club, Wakey get an 80K player at a reduced rate and Cas get a large chunk of wage to invest elsewhere in the squad. Simples.
