| Its not their tackling technique that gets to me its when other deploy similar tactics against them....slowing the play the ball down & then pie eaters are up in arms about it all complaining like there's no tomorrow!
Tomkin brothers are ones for their snide grabbing hold of the tackler technique to win a penalty which really gets up my a*$e.......I have full respect for the both of them regarding rugby skills but these snide actions are just plain cheating IMO and should be cut out by the officials.

| I certainly would. Wigan are NOT breaking the rules. Lets get that straight. But they have developed a style that needs a rule change. Fairly groundbreaking to be fair. They often hold up players and the third man dives at the lower limb, below the knee - Cannonballing. This is dangerous.
They also employ numerous twisting techniques once the pace of the collision has gone. This isnt grappling, but has the same dangerous effect. They of course arent the only onces who do this, but they do do it the most.
If this becomes a trend then serious joint injuries will increase.
I couldnt give a monkey what team it is, but its something the RFL needs to take a very serious view of. I do not for one minute think Wigan do it to injure players. They do it to dominate the PTB, and it does work - but it doesnt make it right.
You dont need statistical evidence, although Im sure it would be easy to compile. You just need eyes and a brain!

Apologies if im wrong, but you dont seem very bright or able to read.
My post clearly states it does not break the rules - but is a new worrying trend that needs addressing.
I also state your not the only team that does it, but it is more prevelant with Wigan than any other teams.
Hope the big words dont cause confusion!!

You're wasting your time Truewiganer, they're moron's, there only seems to be Bonzo that can actually have a discussion. As for Cheshire Tiger blinkered is not the word! I bet if they played Hudds next week and got stuffed he would be spouting the same drivel about tackling technique. Clearly a very bitter individual that vents his frustration at other teams so called techniques rather than considering his own teams failings.
Wigan play within the rules and are top of the table. End of

Is there really any need? I don't think that's the best way to generate sensible debate and discussion is it?
