I aren't really sure if the Saturday night games on Sky are a great idea for attendances while the football season is still running,wonder how many Cas fans were at Elland Road yesterday?.
That coupled with the cold weather,and the floating fan fearing a tonking might not of bothered last night.
Hopefully the result last night will help the attendances,if Hull K.R continue their good start we could be looking at a 8k+ crowd in 2 weeks

I know a few who went straight from ER to the Cas game as there was plenty of time to get from one game to the other so that is no excuse.
I thought there was more than 5k there and the ground looked more than half full imo. |

Glad they can afford it, going to both games. It was cold - had been snowing most of day and on tv, Shudds only brought about 800 so dont think 6k was that bad tbh

I'm told there was 7.5k at the 2008 opener against Catalans - also televised on a Saturday IIRC -so where were the 2.5k 'no-shows'? They need to ask themselves if they still want Cas in SL and the club need to ask themselves what can be done to tempt them back although if Saturday's performance didn't do it for them perhaps nothing will.

As for the no shows, tougher economical times, people picking and choosing games a bit more, weather was far worse.
I believe our attendances will average out better this season though |
