He did nothing wrong buddy, i'l tell you why they will have been slating him, because he doesn't play for Leeds Rhinos, Saint Helens or any other "popular" club.
And to you who was slating the guy, give him a break. He deserves that spot and even if he's far from greatness yet, you need the experience to get there. Cheer on your country for gods sake!!!

On the vt people seem to constantley slagg off his defence even though he made more tackles than any back in the last two games and has missed two tackles out of 40 odd in those games. Someone else said he offered nothing attack even though he scored more tries than any other centre, i guess that means no centre in sl offers anything in attack then!
Compare that to lee smith whose defence has been worse, has given away penalties and whose only contribution has been to score a walk in try where the only defender opposing slipped onto hi a*se before he got to him. For someone reason though everbody seems to think he's a much better choice for centre.

| Im abit fed up too of folk slagging of Shenny. He made 21 tackles on Friday, more than the aussie or kiwi centres on saturday.
He will be up against Hodges, who is a great ball handler but isnt as bigger
threat than Inglis.
I think Shenny will do ok, he can raise his game against
better opposition....good luck Michael!

| I'm sick of hearing the bloody idiots having a go at Englands best centre.
Come on Shenny, shut that bunch of tools up with a match winning show

| Did not got much ball or room to move today BUT he did what he could, at least he looked interested in the first 40. Given time it may well turn around for him.

Was certainly England's best centre to do. That tackle on Slater to get him out of play was world-class.

| Him, Tompkins and Hall were fantastic on our left side, Australia got nothing down that side, shame we can say for our 'experienced' heads of Smith and Maguire down the right

| First half today and the ball just didn't get passed across to Shenton's side. I don't think Shenton could do much more than he did. Second half and Shenton was a bit more involved. I thought he did well and deserves his place against New Zealand. BTW weren't all the Aussie try's down the opposite side of the field to where Shenton was.

I was very pleased by shenton was our top back in defence (the combination of ellis, shenton and hall outwide was inpenatrable for the aussies), caused two aussie knock ons, forced an aussie player out of play, made meters out of dummy half and made an offload under alot of pressure that if roby had took could have resulted in a try. Cant recall him making a mistake or giving away a penalty.
