| Quote who needs flankers?="who needs flankers?"Grix has gone to Hudds. How many is that they have lost now? I think I'd be worried if I was a Wildcats fan!'"
As a Wildcats fan I would only be worried had we not replaced the players that have left. Last year we had a squad of 28. We have lost 11 players and we still have a squad of 28 with still a couple of signings to be announced. Admittedly we have promoted 7 lads from the academy, but the signings that have been made, in my opinion, will make us a better team next year!
Worried? Not in the slightest!

| A slow news day on Cas forum then?
This was known, and even in papers months ago, and there was at best a 50-50 split of whether it was good or bad.
Sorry to see him go but he is easily replaced by the players we already have. If he'd stayed he would have only started when we had injuries.

Doesn't Grix play full back? If so he is very brave going to a club with a man of steel fullback!

Think Grix plays a number of positions, including full back and stand off, but Blaymire is the regular full back for them.

Apart from our best season ticket sales since 2002, nope nothing much happening. Not unless you want to turn up to the Tigers halloween party and frighten the kids. No need for a mask.

We have known for quite a while he was going. Shame as would have liked to have kept him but not a massive loss.

| I personally don't think wakey will be weaker next year. The signings they have made will enable them to move on next year, better than can be said for us at Cas.
The one worry I would have though is the astonishing number of "foreign" players that will be at the club next year (I really hope no-one attempts to excuse it with tales of ancestry).
SimonBarrett only mentions the forwards and he has already listed six definate "foreigners" with another potentially in Galea. All this without taking into account the backs.
Admitedly this is not wakeys problem though as it's the RFL who make the rules and wakey are only looking after their best interests so who can blame them.

Korky, JD, Blanch and l think obst are all outside the 'quota rules' as they were here before they came into force.
The whole quota system is a good idea, but SL will not see the true benefits until the players with dispensations are retired, but it has to start somewhere.
