If one team has less fans but consistently finished higher, certainly in recent years). Whilst the other has bigger crowds but is generally crap - this year apart. Who is the more successfull?
As they say "it's not how big it is but what you do with it that counts". Fundamentally Wakefield run themselves better and get more value for their money than most. Sure, Cas it would seem have more potential - but potential has to be harnessed - over to Mr Wright and Co.
I was going to give this answer to the dullard Mac but you will do. RL is a league and the only product of the league is who finishes where, number of fans, bogs and roofs are just a side show the one that matters is league and play off position. So Wakey finishing two above Cas is meaningful for this season and is what we strive for. Who got bigger crowds is not relevant so long as all clubs operate within their budgets.
I do get the point that it's only 4 points (2 games) but isn't that what RL is all about - percentages. Those games had to be won and all teams started with an equal chance of winning them. This season we did better so for this season it is hugely significant - next year it all starts again and there is no telling where it will go.'"
You forgot to include Ted (the king of spin) Richardson did wakey not sell ground to pay off debts?? its a poor show for the players when your out numberd by away fans every week
