Secondly, I do appreciate that Leeds fans did this and Salford fans did that on our ground and under our alleged control, but I hope we're not setting an uncomfortable precedent here. It seems that all fans now have to do to cripple their rivals is to go to the away game in sufficient numbers with the intent of causing trouble. Hey presto it's the rivals fault and the rivals who get a hefty fine. That doesn't sit right with me at all. I think it's a problem for the game to address as a whole, It won't be eradicated by scapegoating one club.

Thirdly, I may be wrong but I've not heard of a single arrest and prosecution as a result of any of these incidents. I simply can't believe that nobody at all knows anything about these so called fans. All I'd say is if you're not shopping them (and doing so officially) then you're complicit.

Should deduct enough points to drop you out of the play offs, that would be a harsher punishment. Might make these "fans" think twice next season.

but they aren't fans, they probably don't care what effect their actions have on the club and as a result I doubt a points deduction would bother them, but it would have a massive negative on the club as a whole and even more so the "proper" fans (who make up the majority of the fanbase) who don't deserve to be punished.

It was unsavoury and wrong, but nobody got hurt, nobody died, no property was destroyed and nobody has required trauma counselling as a result.

Cas have had their card marked and been punished as a result and I don't see the need in blowing it out of proportion.

I was stood watching from the side of the ground and could see loads of people in that area, but didn't have a clue who had done the throwing. You would have thought the stewards on the field would have had the best view.

I would understand that more if you were playing a high profile team where a lot would turn up just for a pint an craic....but I cant see why 'non proper' fans who turn up in numbers and cause chaos in a game like this......you'll be blaming us lot next
