Groudshare = most logical way for both clubs to ensure SL survival
Will it happen I doubt it as both clubs appear to believe that they will make it on their own...... my own personal opinion is that neither club will get their independant stadiums and by the time they get off their respective high horses it will be too late and they will be reliant upon the RFL deciding to increase the number of teams in SL, that Celtic will go bust or that Salford are the worst of the three of us....I would not like to be put in that situation but I can see it happening.
I want to be proved wrong and I pray that I am wrong but we are really no further on... Cas are making noises again about appointing architects and the next stage but the reality is it seems funding is still our major problem....... Wakey after the fiasco over Thornes park have to their credit put together an alternative package but again in reality is it possible they can raise finances, get planning permission, and get a brick laid before franchise time ... if they can good on them but the chances are that with all the usual stumbling blocks that a project like this has I doubt it will happen in time......
A more realistic plan would be for Wakey and Cas to get together , agree a site and jointly use their respective funding and the support from the council to get a shared stadium built in time but those talks would need to happen now and not in 6/12 months time when they both realise that they are running out of time and excuses...
I will be enjoying every game in SL that I can from now until franchise time .... simply because I don't feel confident that we will be enjoying SL after those submissions are made.......................
