| I'd like to have a garden shed built. I live close to the junction of Aketon Road and Leeds Road.
As lots of people on here know all about construction and they're always popping into places like the council and Waystone for a chat, I was wondering if anyone could help me with the details...
(1) How much do you think it would cost? I'm going to need a big table in the middle for my old Subbuteo Rugby game (teams painted in 1974 Cas and Fev strips obviously). I was also thinking about having a fish pool nearby. Does anyone with connections at the council think I could get some sort of grant for it? I could swap a bit of my front garden to widen the pavement outside if they like.
(2) If I started with my shovel and a skip now, when do you think I'll be able to realistically start putting down the concrete raft for it to sit on? How long will it take to set? Will I need some gravel to bed in first and if so, does this mean that Subbuteo Fev now have a sniff of beating Cas on aggregate?
(3) Some guy from Whitwood says that I ought to share a shed with the bloke next door. he says it's a better use of space and more cost effective. Do you think that this would work? We'd probably need different coloured seats so we can tell whose is whose, and what if I take my bottle of scotch in there (purely for medicinal purposes you understand) and he breaks it or drinks it. I mean, where would we both stand (or sit) legally. He might even bust some of my subbuteo kit. Mmmmmm I need to think long and hard about that one.
(4) Cliff in Normanton says I'm going to be struggling for finance. I asked him how he knew and apparently he's also with Warclays and he had a word with his friend who works in there. I didn't know this, but when you work for a bank, they let all their staff tell all and sundry about anyone's financial statements. They say it's so that people can get hold of all the details by spreading it over the internet and that way if any fraud goes on with your account it's much easier to trace through the chatrooms. Good idea eh?
So, if anyone can help me with my little construction problems I'd be extremely grateful.
TIA.

So now we have gone from November to potentially January! What guess we come on here in November and you tell us January to April?
Considering [iFULL[/i planning permission hasn't gone in yet, I think your predictions are little short of deluded. I get the impression that you come on here claiming to be in the know when in reality you know nothing. Anyone can claim to be in the know for the purpose of winning an argument on a forum. It would be another thing to provide proof, which of course you won't have......dreamer!

4652.gif I wouldn't bother reading this bit, there is nothing interesting, witty or insightful down here, just this collection of boring words explaining that you really are wasting your time browsing this signature in the vain and futile hope that there will be a nugget, nay, a veritable goldmine of witticisms or divine philosophy. In reality, all you're going to get is disappointment, a sense of hopelessness and a random word.

Nay, nay and thrice nay, the Wakey fans are the only ones in the loop, any info from Cas fans is simply hearsay and gossip.

| Quote: Gaslight "At the minute there's 2 options in terms of architect - there's appoint one and get a new design specific to CTRLFC or buy an existing design such as the Keepmoat which does away with the need of an architect - just the structural engineer (as far as I'm aware).
The Nov-Jan start is the ground stabilization and foundation works, then from then on depending on weather conditions a stadium would take between 9-14 months.
This may be some insight to a few people on here but the cost of a stadium (a basic one) is roughly £1m per 1000 seats, so at the minute there will need to be ~£13m for the stadium at J32 to be built.'"
Only thing with that is
a. The Keepmoat/LSV or any other design does not have a swimming pool incorporated (thought there is one on the same site as the LSV).
b. They dont have a dirty great big hill behind that will require retaining. This has been allowed for in the original design apparantly as one stand will not be as high as the others & access is from the ends rather than along the stand.
I must admit that the Keepmoat is a good model to use as a basis & can be adapted to suit.
