I hope we (Batley) can keep him until the end of the season, as he's done a pretty decent job for us. However, whoever deemed him worthy of a SL contract must have been on some kind of mind-altering drug at the time.

I believe that would be Ian Millward, who also deemed Steve Nash good enough for Super League (he's now back at Leigh on loan, unless his time there has finished). |

He was recommended to the club by Dale Fritz and Cas offered him a deal to see what he could do. It was never made as a major signing - more a let's see what you can do contract. |

The Nash signing was very strange. I'd seen him play on numerous occasions and was staggered when Millward took him to Cas. He was very, very average at Championship level. |

Millward is signing another of his Leigh lads next season. Jamie Ellis from Hull. He is an overweight scrum half who is out of his depth in Super league. Infact a bit like Millward.
