| I believe he must start at fullback.
Far too good a player to be stuck on the wing and fullback gives him the chance to get more involved in the game.
There will definitely be a selection headache for Richard and the coaching team before Saturday's massive game against Featherstone.

Totally agree and i was pleased Potts got a game yesterday-best winger at club IMO especially on top of the ground conditions.

| Agree 100%. He needs freedom to attack and we need him in the middle targetting the fattys.

Completely agree. Look at the problems he has caused by running at defences and the yards he has taken us forwards.

| Salty does return the ball well just a bit suspect under the high ball hope he sticks with him though and plays johno at 7 thought he had a decent game back in halves. if its a problem bring danny back and put scott to loose with them 4 attacking we could be just too quick for fev fingers crossed roll on saturday up the fax!!!!!!!!!

I think that's the way I'd go as our attack is lacking that bit of final ball speed and I think Murrell at 13 would speed up the halves though it may affect the defence.

| No-one will agree with me here but I would turn Salty into a hooker, although he has been great for us in the backs this season, I think he needs his hands on the ball more in attack and think he would make a cracking number nine. That's probably just me though!

Having never played the game i get stick for being tactically naive at times but i tend to agree with this--the new Darryl Clarke !

You're right I don't agree with you but that is my view against yours. I think he is better at fullback and attacking from there. At hooker he would have to make 40+ tackles a game as well as directing which way the plays needed to move. It is energy sapping at 9. Yes he would be able to do the odd scoot but I think we get more out of him where he is.
Just my opinion.

| At hooker you need good hands, obviously.
I would say the only thing preventing RM putting at Salts at full back every game until the end of the season is his un-halfback like hands. RM has already said previously he likes his fullback to be another pivot, and you can only assume he is playing Jonno there as a result.
I do feel he's worthy of the full back spot though, even if it means Murrell going to loose.
Hooker though...certainly no time soon.

| I don't think Salty's hands are that bad, I think he would surprise people if given time to adjust. It's not going to happen I know but I'd just thought I'd put it out there. The reason I wouldn't have him in the backs is that our halves are poor against the top sides and don't create anything in the final third. Although he is still young, he gives me the impression he can take a game by the scruff of the neck but only if he sees enough ball, the only way I can see that happening in this side is to move him to either half back (he's not good enough for HB) or hooker and it is much easier to be an effective hooker than an effective half back. Believe me I've played in all the positions mentioned. Salty played at Loose forward when he was a junior because he was a pivotal player and he needed to see the ball as often as possible, the further out toward the touchline you play the more you rely on others to give you the ball in good positions and I don't think that happens enough. Like I say, it's not going to happen though!
