Bartercard enables member businesses to exchange goods and services with other member businesses without using cash or cash equivalents, or having to engage in the direct two-way swap of goods and/or service.

You spend a lot of time on that site for a football hater Mr FM.

Whilst it's all a bit perplexing to me Bartercard have been sponsoring rugby league in Australia for while and been involved in a number of large events, I seem to remember them having large pitch logos for internationals so it does sound like they are high profile. Not sure how it benefits Fax as there is no money involved apparently but we can swap something or other.

They will charge fees for their service,so they will have funds to sponsor like any other company unless i'm missing the point.

"Fax join a reputable list of teams, including Hull F.C, Sheffield Wednesday, Bolton Wanderers and Charlton Athletic all of whom have Bartercard as a sponsor, Last year £40m was traded on Bartercard in the UK."

Part of the statement by Barter Card which the rabid Luddites choose to ignore.
I wonder if they print similar comments about their fellow "football" clubs.

I personally can't see the point of trying to look at their forums, they are a set of loud mouthed barrack room lawyers best suited to a sport where the majority of supporters, players, managers and certainly chairmen are quite frankly gutter snipes.

Hull - run by a businessman plugging huge losses and trying to plug them with a knock down offer for the council owned ground.

Owls -£7m a year losses

Charlton - £5m a year losses

Bolton - £160m in debt

4 very badly run clubs that we'd happily slate on our forums. I wouldn't call any of them reputable clubs!

They've paid you in credits which you spend with other network members. Which if you buy stuff off them is fine. However, you may be limiting your supplier choice and as BC charge a transaction fee there are stories of businesses charging more to BC customers to cover the fees. Some members have also told tales of being invoiced if not spending the required number of credits per month.

If this is a sponsorship 'space' you've never utilised, and there are businesses that accept the credits that you can use, it might not be a bad thing. I just hope your commercial director has checked the T&Cs and hasn't been taken in by a salesman or you might end up paying your suppliers more and being invoiced by a sponsor.

We would happily slate ? but haven't, What simple minded people you all must be if you have to slate other clubs.
Incidentally name any profesional club that is beyond reproach and isn't in debt.

Yes, if a club or governing body is acting in a manner that drags the game in to disrepute or endangers other clubs if have no problem criticising them. Were those on here criticising Fev for going DR last season 'simple minded' too?

Erm, Arsenal?

what is it with the lowlifes that follow the Soccer club. I couldnt care less what that club do let alone go to such lengths like Bubba and co to find out how the club is doing and looking in to sponsors and directors records etc of a club and sport I have no interest in. Shame these lowlifes have such a poor life that they have to go around making up stories and thinking they are the fountain of all knowledge when really they know jack.

You must have slated the old Halifax Town to buggery then.
