How Penkywicz didn't get MOTM I do not know.

He didnt take a backward step. Has got a great attacking game great offload but can get wrestless in defence.
Matt will improve that in him.

Jones is not all there. Woefull defender and some of his passing today from behind the goals where i stand were appauling.

Some of Penkys passing was appauling as well - but you arent suggesting that we get another hooker? His pass for Barlows try was fantastic. His defence was ok as well - he was being isolated by Haley jumping out of the line in the first half.

Jones and Gannon did throw some passes i bet the they wish they hadnt done, but thats what pre season is for. I think they will go ok for us and im very optimistic about us. Danny boy will be fine and will run the show when he gets to know his teamates better, great signing.
Sam Barlow is immense, i think this will be his last year with us if we dont go up, hes a SL class forward whos beginning to really shine.

What some people need to remember is that todays game was always going to be a bit disjointed as Fax made a lot of changes. From today there were lots of positives but some players who played today will not be involved week in week out. I think things are progressing nicely and the during the pre-season we have got better week on week. On the original thread Sam did have a powerful game today.

Apparantley from what peter emmett were saying is that justin morgan(hull kr head coach) thinks he is a good player and will make the cut but has his fitness and temprement to work on.

some of jones passes went astray but so did plenty of others. he put out some very good long passes to the wing and had a decent game with his kicking i thought. far from being a weak link i think him n black will take some stopping.

sam barlow seems to get better every game, he offloaded well today, pity was not faster to go half length of pitch after charge down though. also think he will be in SL next season.
