As far as I am aware he is 'OUR' player so not a loan deal. I believe he was out of contract at Wakey at the end of this season. Seems our Chairman is putting his money where his mouth is and isn't resting on his laurels. icon_biggrin.gif

He wears his heart on his sleeve and backs up everything he says - he can't be knocked for that. I reckon you would give your right arm for a Chairman & BoD with the same passion as Barrow have !!

And a cracking signing Stanley Gene is. I was actually just proving a point about the ridicule and crap posted regarding any signing we make. Even if we signed Billy Slater most would deem him as Sh*te because he has signed for Barrow !!

To be fair the vast majority of Fax fans seem decent, knowledgable supporters whom I look forward to sharing a pint and a craic with on Sunday but Fax is a little to far over the Pennines for me icon_rolleyes.gif

Very good signing tbh and also not too surprised he has gone to Barrow. The quality of the Championship keeps improving and for me its good to see the likes of Barrow, Fax and Fev sign quality alongside Widnes. The more Ex SL players in the Championship I think helps add to the quality. SL teams seem more interested in signing Aussies and this in turn is seeing a number of good British players looking at the championship

this is a very good signing for you but have you heard the saying 1 player doesnt make a team.

as far as i am aware Ellis has not signed another contract for you boys although with the Rooney signing i expect he will do.

the final will be good this year and next year Halifax and Barrow are already the teams for the other clubs to Benchmark on and look at what signings they will need to compete.

i cant imagine that a super league player that still has a good few years in him yet though will have come for small pennies. he may well be your best paid player next season and it has been known before that people may think that they deserve the same amount of money and could cause unrest in the dressing room.

I was shocked when you managed to get him on loan but i am even more suprised that you managed to sign him permanantly, that is one hell of a signing for you guys. you will go well next season should be another good contest for top spot next year between us too as it looks at the minute.
