In answer to your first question no he didn't play. As far as the second question I have no idea.

I chatted with Sam yesterday and he said he should be back next week.

I think everyone (Leigh & Fax fans) need to take a step back and review without bias which is pretty difficult for most people.

Both sets of fans have numpties and wind up merchants so lets not tarnish an entire club by this handful of people.

Not sure why people are asking Dick Jones/Rowley to apologise for saying he had a SUSPECTED fractured skull and bleeding, at the point that comment was made then that would have been the doctors reason for sending Barlow in an ambulance for a brain scan. I seriously doubt they would do that otherwise! Thankfully that turned out to not be the case.

All teams have/have had players with a nasty side to their game Barlow & Manning included and incidents such as this (not seen the one at the Shay) fall into that bracket and most sensible people would not defend them.

The slight difference of opinion is that Rowley introduced it more than normal into the first game when Leigh were losing and it was supporters from Leigh that came on here with their insults targeting everything Fax in general.

That's what turned it into not a defence of any one person or incident but Fax as a club and the bigger picture.

Success at Leigh has been a long time coming and I for one think it has been done by a lot of hard work and you deserve it.

However the steps that have been taken so far are just a few in the right direction and there is a long way to go but the way some are talking about the league leaders shield in the Championship it's as if you are world club champions and no one likes the big head approach.

It was a deliberate attemp to derail my post entitled Sam Barlow. Take a look, my actual first post was suggesting we move on.
And then a Dick popped up.

Also as it has been pointed out by more than one person who have nothing to do with Fax in this weeks RL press a number of games involving Leigh this season to use their words have involved brawls, punch ups and fighting.

The games mentioned were both against Fax, Sheffield, Dewsbury and Leeds.

As they said it can't all be down to the other side or not be done without being told to do so from the coach.

Before lecturing others on being thugs it may be wise to look into the mirror and not forget what you are seeing as soon as you walk away.

I was not surprised re the RL scribes commentary and observations re Leigh's current trend of being involved in the more physical side of the game and it appears there is a common denominator starting to appear here with other clubs also involved by the look of it.
What I found VERY disappointing over at Leigh was an incident right in front of me where a Fax player was tackled by two Leigh players with a third running in, rabbit punching the trapped Fax player, then literaly running off to line up about 15m away from where the tackle had taken place. That's cheap shot rugby to me and also cheap shot commentary to say Fax are the' Scum of Rugby League.'
Leigh just need to stick to the rugby -that does its own talking as the league table currently shows. Resorting to bad mouthing another club and it's fans and physical violence on the field doesn't really wash with me.
Manning has got his punishment, Sam Barlow is due to play again shortly and both clubs have won two games since.
Let's all move on, with our own opinions, and get back to the rugby.

The point is the word " suspected " was never even used and Dick Jones has also said more than once she was using the words of Paul Rowley then we had a post up in arms saying Barlow was attacked from behind he didn`t use the word "suspected "either ,what really hapened was a differant story .Then we get accused of being the scum of rugby league well I`ve moved on too and I`m just glad we don`t have to be bothered with the " soap style "story lines that follow Barlow around anymore .
