Park lost heavily at home to Brighouse rangers. Park had a 13 point handicap but lost by more than that.
Park had one man sent off very late in the game for a high tackle, fair decision I think and it had no bearing on the result.
As I say every week, what a hard game rugby league is at any level and despite the sending off what a tremendous spirit it was played in,

| Greetland also lost at Stainland regardless of the handicap of -7. Poor quality from both sides & even worse from Phil Downsborough in his fancy dress disguise of a referee's outfit. Congratulations to both teams for not losing their cool, Stags even got penalised twice for feeding the scrum......
Good luck to the Stags in the cup, they could win it this year with their youthful enthusiasm & nice to see Bloemy has knocked the funny business out of their game.

| Notable wins for Halifax Irish in the cup at Slawit, KXP in the championship, speedy McQueen's Queensbury lads & Bloemy's Stainland Stags might just have been promoted with their win yesterday.
The Greetland lads are dragged back into a dog fight against relegation again, just losing at home to league leaders Underbank.
Now that the better weather & firmer tracks are upon us, there'll be more running rugby & the better & fitter sides should prosper.

Aye - i've just found that out. Many are blaming Siddal for opting for that Winter cup comp.

That'd be because they can't see what d1cks BARLA are, the RFL are no better, they won't be happy until they have all rugby league within their sticky mitts.

The impression I've got John is that BARLA and the RFL don't like speaking to each other and scheduled a National Cup game and a league game on the same day. Understandably Siddal wanted to fulfil both fixtures and as they're in the latter stages of the National Cup chose to treat that as their priority, and sent the second team to fulfil their league game. The scoreline reflects badly on Siddal when in reality they were left with the crap hitting the fan because of the RFL and BARLA having a tiff.

| Quote: Piston Broke "I agree entirely with your comments re the Pennine League MM.
I wrote a long letter to their secretary after I saw a game at Queens second team last year recounting several unsavoury incidents that I witnessed on that occasion. I haven't even had the courtesy of a reply.
The Pennine League used to consist of teams from Halifax, Huddersfield, Rochdale and Oldham.
Now it's centre of gravity has moved towards Leeds/Wakefield. No local knowledge exists of these teams and the admin of the League is suspect to say the least. I think I'm right in saying that that when Queens etc moved over 15 months ago that it was the Management Committe who endorsed their membership rather than the clubs?
I think that we should write to BARLA and say that we will start a new league based on the old geographical areas. The problem is that a lot of the Lancashire teams like St Annes, Waterhead and Saddleworth have moved their reserve teams over to the North West Counties League where they get a fair crack of the whip.
And as for the Elland lads playing for Heath 3rds....I counted 5 on the pitch with as many watching who expressed an interest in playing as well.
MOM for me though was a certain Damian Ball........'"
Just take a look at the Pennine league disciplinary charges again in the paper today, almost exclusively non-Pennine clubs again. When you've got 10mins spare, take a look at the abandonement video, YOU know where to find it, Sharlston v Fryston, national cup quarter final last weekend. Fryston down to eight men after their FIFTH sending off !!!!
