That is a worrying statement but I think we all suspect the club is in the doo-doo, but just how much and can it be fixed?

Where is Tony Abbott and where do we stand if he has disappeared? Is he still majority shareholder?

I think there needs to be more coming oput of the club now.

All the best KH knowing your passion for the club, pride in yourself as a coach it must be one of the lowest points of your life.

Sadly it did not work out for whatever reasons, lets do what we can to support the club, we've done it before during tough times and we can do it again.

Harrison will always be my rugby hero - he was the first player I ever met and got me into watching rugby league. It is sad it has ended now regardless of other opinions.

A legend in his playing days and quite rightly a Hall of Fame member, his coaching performance with us shouldn't tarnish his playing days but quite simply the wrong man for the job.

The timing of this leaves a lot of questions of what triggered this at this exact time.

Although Halifax RLFC is "Our Club" it is a business. A business does not and indeed is often best not to divulge all the behind the scenes activities and problems to its customers (Supporters).
We pay to watch a product and although we feel in our hearts we are paying public and have no right to be privy. Buy into the company and learn all you desire.

The club could sell itself better to its customers but with limited resources at least they try. Some new blood with ideas wouldnt go amiss. Anyone out there with money and time to spare? I am sure the board would welcome you.

Sunday was confirmation that we couldn't finish second. He had earlier made statements that Halifax would definitely finish second. They may have both agreed some time ago that he would walk If his statement didn't materialise.

I think the decision had to be made at this point. We will beat Barrow on Sunday so you cant really get rid of someone after a win so that would mean him taking the team in to the playoffs and given that it seems not many of the players are interested in playing for him it would be an embarrassing exit of that i have little doubt. There was no way the club could renew his contract so the time is right now to hopefully just give the players a little kick up the backside and hopefully a push in to the playoffs. It also gives the incoming coach as much time as possible to work with the squad although it has to be seen whether the club waits till after the play off exit to bring him in.

I just have a feeling we will perform better under Murrell for the rest of the season than we would have under Harrison.

Karl and the Club tried something, it didn't work out, and its been a dignified ending to a rapidly worsening situation.
Fresh ideas needed, a hungry young coach with something to prove, and I don't mean how many hot dogs he can eat in one go.
My concern now is the uncertainty, the Club wont be able to push on and win fans back until next season, its going to be a tough winter.
