| I just hope the fans who called for his head and asked the players to 'learn how to tackle' are eating some humble pie with their many pints of alcohol!

3664.gif You've got to have a dream, if you don't have a dream, how ya gonna have a dream come true?
Are you claiming all you are entitled to? www.debtadvicenetwork.org then go to "Self Help" then "Benefits & Entitlements".:3664.gif |

| I've hardly commented for the 2nd half of this season, because to see Matt slated when he got us to the highest finishing position in the 7 years or so that I've been watching them, was simply mind numbing.
When we go on to win the GF, what's going to happen? I wouldn't be surprised to get comments like "Ah, but if he was a better coach we would have been straight in the Final and not lose to Barrow" etc etc etc.
You have to remember, other teams want to win the GF just as much as us, and they are going to play for it. They aren't just going to give it away.

| Calland in for me, it's not just Matt Calland it's Martin Hall as well I think they have the balance right.
I also think some fans got carried away earlier in the season which was understandable.
At the end of the day the team have achieved what they set out to do reach the Grand Final.
Now all we need to do is win it.
Everything thats happened in the past counts for nothing at Warrington.
C'mon Fax let's do it the players have workrd hard all season and the supporters in the majority have backed the team home and away.
We've had a memorable season let's make it unforgettable!!!!

| Definitely Calland in. I said last week the mark of how good a coach Calland is would be how he managed to turn the team around following the Barrow defeat. We put in a fantastic performance last night, so to me Calland has shown he has what it takes.
He is a young coach who is bound to make mistakes. However, overall we have had a fantastic season, and Calland will only get better.
Mention must also go to Martin Hall. Things really started to turn around for us when he came in as coach 3 years ago and he has undoubtedly been a key player in the turnaround.
I gave Penky some stick last week following the Barrow result. Last night he was fantastic. When he is playing at hooker he's up there with the best in the division.

I bet the detractors will scream if they can't get tix for finals day !
Not only was tonight about result rather than performance, we were by far the better side. Before we were awarded a penalty, they'd had six. That is immense pressure at any level nevermind semi finals. To go in 18-16 at HT was an awesome show of character and spirit.'"
Spot on.Calland is the man.Look what happens when they work so hard for each other.

| Sorry but after a great result and performance by the team last night I am delighted we are in the final.
If we had lost I would have expected him to go.
Hall is the man behind the team and there are still a lot of people not convinced. I hope he leads us to glory in Warrington but a lot of long standing supporters are still not sure of his man management or his tactical coaching ability.

| i would say that Calland is made of sterner stuff than you suggest - as for many doubters out there - you seem to be in a minority of one at the moment my old china - now does us all a favour and dry up

| Just an opinion Harry. Shared by more people than perhaps you are aware.
One good result after some pretty shambolic ones does not turn the man into some sort of demi-god.
The players did him proud last night but it was last chance saloon stuff for both coach and team.
Lot of rose tinted glasses around me thinks.
Would love to see Dave Larder going on into the coaching set up.
Strikes me as a lot brighter individual.

| what so Dave Larder instead of Calland? Don't be silly.
I think we all need to put a few of the last games into perspective. Whatever happens in the final we have come further than any other season since relegation from super league, i hardly think that constitutes for getting rid of a coach.
Unless of course we are Chelsea football club?

Chelsea got rid of a manager before he did too much damage to the club, the writing was on the wall - thats not a bad thing if you aim to be sucessful

They have done a lot of chopping and changing though in the last couple of years and it hasn't led to them winning everything has it.
Anyway the point being Calland in for me, and i certainly don't think Calland is damaging our club...if that is what you were suggesting (not assuming you were)

| I think you have had a great season and some are over critical. You took cas to the wire in the challenge cup, semi of nr cup,2nd in the league and a grand final.I prefer your success than the nortern rail cup win and 4th in the league. That is disappointment in my eyes.I was expecting widnes to get to grand final and i was not happy. So any domongers here you must be joking.Well done fax you deserve it and been the best team by a country mile.
