Why do we need to release Sam? I would have thought with Penky, White, Gannon, Haley, Aizue and Josh Barlow gone and us really only signing Bracek and Tonks we would still have some money to sign good players. Sam is 100% Fax man and gives everything plus is one of the best players outside of SL. Why would we want or need to release him? If we are making a profit and likely spending up to the Max why do we need to release a top local lad? Many questions that for me I cant understand why we would need or want to release Sam or anybody especially at this stage.

Also it is not consistent with KH's comments on the stated "very good offer" the club recently made to Andy Ellis before he chose to go to Rovers that would have put him "among the highest earners" at the club.

How can we have done that without the funding to do so.?

Even if it is true and Sam does go, correct me if I am wrong but he could have gone for nothing if he had not signed the 2 years contract.
At the very least we will get 25k plus a good player as opposed to ziltch.

I am just glad Sam is with Fax but if there was no truth in it what about the posted phone calls with him that said it was nearly a done deal.
That gave it more credibilty than anything a Fev fan could have done.
Anyway as long as he is here that's all that counts.

I still take this with a pinch of salt, penky hadn't signed for anyone and then 2 minutes later he had agreed a deal with Leigh. The " he is staying " line normally means goodbye.
