(Widnes fans obviously very well informed NOT)- The Shay is now up there with one of the best facilities in RL (no ridiculous queuing for tickets) and Calderdale Council have signed off our capacity in its current state as 10k, once the North Stand issues are sorted our capacity will then be raised to 14k!! - Huddersfield would not be able to use The Shay next year had the ground not got a 10k capacity in place!!

Exactly, reading through trust posts and the comments on here I seriously don't know where they are coming from on half of them!

I'm sure we could put the 1mill profit to some good use. To an extent I agree but not completely, I mean Halifax need what circa 25k for youth side? How many experieneced 2nd rows in squad, talk of re signing Holyrood... better use of money?

I'd prefer Fax to have a good bid and tbh had been wondering how well you'd go up against the other SL sides in round 2 as it where (should Widnes get nod 1st time). Though I feel off pitch affairs may halt now without that could of been real talk of two up two down?

By that are they not just taking North Stand as working condition so 10k but when done up will be 14k (guess big improvements as usually seats decrease size so good stuff!). Not like is a huge issue as could just get stand up to scratch asap if required for 10k I presume?

It isnt a big issue at all - i think our directors are more aware of the current capacity of the ground than people on a message board. If the capacity isnt 10k we wouldnt have applied for SL would we?
