| 4 on DR from Leeds plus the French winger on trial - for those looking for change certainly got it this week - as long as the 3 also in the Leeds squad don't also ending up playing for them. Looking at Doncasters squad they've a lot of quality ex suoerleague players in their ranks including Sutcliffe and Luke Briscoe who I'd have loved us to sign this year + Brad Knowles who'll no doubt have a stormer.

| On paper should be a comfortable Donny win but you just feel we have to pick up a win soon so maybe its this week.

Can us fans be DR to Cornwall too. I wouldn't mind a couple of weeks down there.

Finn as been dealt a poor hand squad wise but he does not help himself with some of his post match comments.

| The biggest problem Finn as to sort out is we are not playing like a team. With and without the ball we look like a bunch of individuals some are trying others going through the motions we just look completely disconnected with each other. When you consider that our side as pretty much picked itself this season and the retention of the bulk of last year's squad this shouldn't be such a problem but until it is solved we will continue to lose.

Was desperately unlucky at Fax with a terrible injury in the first league game of the season. In his short time with us played with more enthusiasm and ran the ball in harder than any of our current pack

| Thankfully all 4 of our Leeds DR not incld in Leeds starting 17 tonight although Ruan is named as 18th man so could theoretically be involved. If Jouffret is fit no idea how they'll use Sinfield.

| Just watched the York game, Fax did play some good ball and slick passing moves but let themselves down at the last ball. As Terry silver remarked, with the bulk of last years squad this should not be an issue finish sets of six, never mind scoring. Complete the set and the rest will come, although you cannot plan for guys who don’t want to be involved or naive play, not to mention names but one centre cannot play as bad again if he tried to .

Simon Grix. Fax have made so many recruitment and retention errors over the past few seasons, its unreal. Doro one now who looks like he is going to be off back to SL with Hull KR. Given the reasons for letting him go maybe Fax had no choice but lets not foget before that incident he was hardly getting any game time anyway. Imagine the pack we could have now with the likes of Doro, Gwaze, Springer and others. Instead we are left with players that try hard.

It’s for options if Jouffret isn’t fit along with JWH & Barber being missing.
Choice between Salty going to 1 and either McComb, Pons or McCormack into the backs or Widdop to 1 and Sinfield into the halves.
Davies returning earlier than expected along with the Ruan, options for the pack if McComb drops back.
PS: Or sack everything to do with the Leeds connection and play just with our own who are fit with no 9 not enough backs and Joufrett with a dodgy knee, that’s Finny’s other option for the weekend.

| It’l be another tough game for a side that’s doing it tough in a season where nothing has clicked either in Attack or Defence.
That being the case I can’t decide wether to expect to see more of the same or to expect to see some improvement because we can’t play any worse.

| It will be interesting to see how Fax line up. Jack Sinfield is supposed to be a bit of a live wire, hope he plays, and would make a refreshing change to see Pons and the Leeds kid on one flank which should add some punch.

| Seemed a better balance to the side this week which contributed to the result which they fully deserved.
They’d looked at and trained with a couple of options that I’d mentioned in an earlier post to do with the backs and second row.
Apart from those already ruled out the biggest doubt was LJ and with him coming through they went with him and Keyes in the halves (who went well) with Keyes, Salty, McCormack outstanding and Louis and a few others not far behind.
Widdop going to 1 organised the defensive line much better than what we’ve seen before and he backed up well in attack on a couple of occasions.
Completion rate dropped off a bit second half which affected the field position but the D held out when being tested.
Tough selection decisions for Finn next week if the same lads are available if JWH and Barber come back into contention on whether to change a winning side.
Too soon to see if a corner has been turned and need to back it up but I’ll gladly take the 2 points.

| Louis and Joe Keyes at 6 and 7, who would have thought this would work?
Not out of the woods by any means but a positive step forward.
The Leeds hooker was my MOTM, his speed from the play the ball and his pass selection was superb. That run too to set up Widdop. Pons and the Leeds centre did really well too.
Doncaster were a huge team but missed an organiser to take them around.
Need to back it up next Saturday.

| I was writing this before your post popped up Jaffro. Were you reading my mind or was i reading yours?
Agree that balance of the side is much better with Keyes and Jouffret in the halves and I thought Widdop had his best game so far.
The Dons must have been fed up of Salty coming at them. Mcormack looked like a young lad when warming up but he defended really well and caused them problems with his running and what a try! Johnson looked a real prospect and certainly had an eye for a scoot.
Tangata had his best game for a long time the m.o.m. for me. Fairbank and Davies were immense too but everyone stood up to a huge side and played their part with really hard working defence.
Time to string a few results together.

| Makes a difference getting a few scores up and not panicking chasing the game. We cut out the errors and tried to get quick ptb to move their big pack round.
Defensively whilst we had a better attitude our shape looked better too. No shooting out of the line and we numbered up well, especially on our left where we had the 2 from
Leeds and and Pons on the wing.
Donny on the other hand showed very little and it seemed that they were relying on their big guys to crash through.
