Town's match v Barra today has bee called off due to a chilly pitch (as they'd say in Hudds). This is bad news as it will need to be rearranged which will push into our season.
Or should I have said, the moisture in the surrounding area was below the optimum temperature, we have had nothing like this in sub-tropical Hudds since we had the incinerator built just up the road from the Galpharm(or whatever it's called this week).
As long as they dont ruin the pitch like they did last season before the rugby starts it does not matter. Now it just needs their chairman to start standing up to the council and it would never have come to this and we would both be playing on a shiny 4G pitch. Then again knowing the council they would probably try to re-lay that every season and once again Town would have to foot the bill.
Don't worry fellow Faxfans Councilor Swift and Oz have agreed that our game at Widnes can go ahead.
Oz remarked that the pitch looked remarkably green for this time of year "it doesn't look natural to me" he remarked so he has recommended that a three inch layer of sand be spread over it.
My mind is like a sponge I'm soaking up all this useless information given out and processing it to be passed on to Mrs Jagger who is thinking of attending a few Fax games next season, the East Stand will come alive as Fax March on the League.
