i will be attending fev on thursday, and im looking forward to it.

what happened at the final with Dave was aweful, and i too was in that car park minutes after the attack, a very intimidating place that evening!

but we support Rugby League! Jesus, the majority of RL have been attending away matches for years and years, and i would imagine very rarely have seen nothing but well behaived supporters!

it was a final, two sets of fans oiled up, neither have won a trophy for years, emotions running high. This is no excuse for violence or anti-social behaivour, but im sure both sets of fans were not 'perfectly behaived'.

some posters on here need to grow up, stop bickering, and remember why RL is respected worldwide for the excitement and its 'Proper Fans!'

ppeople are getting far too distracted by off field 'problems' and seem to be forgetting this is a semi final, they dont tend to come around too often!!!!!

I won't take my car to Fev but I am going on the coach.

It's the first time I've decided not to drive and, although I know it will probably be OK, I'm not risking anyone targetting my car.

It would be good if we can build some bridges but respect is earned, it's not a given.

I have no doubt that an over reaction by police caused this issue. However just imagine what this board would be like if this incident happened in the Fev end. We would have 5 pages of Fev insults within a few hours. It is this mentality form Fax fans that pees me off.

Although I'd previously stated I wouldn't be going to Fevbigfellaspostofficeroad stadium while ever the outpouring of emotions from last seasons GF were still ongoing, I feel as though I should be supporting the lads in an important semi final, in a game that we are capable of winning.
Still unsure whether or not to go to the game, but see us winning on the pitch if we're fully healthy & play near our best.

You've all got it wrong, the people who beat Dave near to death weren't 'Fev fans' they were thugs not fans, plain and simple. RL fans don't involve themselves in that sort of behaviour. Yes, proper colour wearing Fev fans are aggressive and do occasionally taunt and gesture, but show me a Fax game or indeed any RL ground which doesn't have people doing that...

I've nearly always gone to POR wearing my Fax shirt and never had any trouble, the Fev fans I've encountered have always been accomodating and welcoming with a healthy share of banter thrown in. The only animosity I had was from the barmaid with no teeth in the ground this year who asked if I wanted a fire extinguisher with my pint (?) She didn't like my retort when I said "No thanks I don't want one of our fans beaten into a coma either"

It's completely wrong that we are focusing on what really isn't a problem instead of what is going to be a cracker of a semi final! Dave wouldn't want that and neither will the two clubs.

I shall be there, in my Fax shirt being as supportive and vociferous as always, don't let the actions of mindless thugs who have nothing to do with RL put more off coming.

Dave rang me tuesday and wanted so much to be at the game, however with it being an evening kick off it would have been too much for him after a long day in rehab.

If he had the chance he would go and specifically asked me to say that he holds no grudge or animosity against the Fev club or their supporters, anyone knowing Dave that is what he is like not a bad bone in his body.

He is just expressing how he feels and would not want to influence anybody else and neither would I.
Their will be a number of reasons why people will go or not go to the game but to continuing slagging one another off whenever a thread on Fev and Fax is started only serves to make the tragidy that happened that night worse.
