I just think it would have been better to hold a press conference when a deal is done! Maybe the Courier have run the story too early, I don't know. It's just with the gloom around the place right now we all saw how much of a lift the news gave and if it all ends up being hot air if there has been any thoughts on the negative impact it could have.

Maybe the news got out before Matt was consulted? It may be a question of sitting down with him and explaining the club's thought process in recruiting Nobby and indeed - if Matt would welcome the partnership. It seems that news has spread too quickly for the club. |

Im not too sure the Courier had much choice to run the story. Theres a couple of people at the club who would be better keeping their mouths closed when it comes to telling people before deals are done. The Courier had to print the story when it was apparent that the rumour was coming out as they stand a chance of selling more papers before its all over the net.
