Keighley are in administration. Oldham are close to it if not in Administration and had to get rid of a load of players last year to survive. Hunslet also are struggling to survive most of the time. York also have had money worries in the past couple of years. So I doubt they have much quality in the Academy or that they can properly afford to run an academy to produce players good enough for the Championship let alone SL and why they are in Championship 1 except Keighley who will be next year!

Apologies to Jonnie in advance & Swifty but given todays result at Doncaster its worth noting that 8 of the Siddal squad are ex Halifax under 21 2005-2008

My point. Halifax does not neccesarily have to worry about under 21 or Academy to keep RFL (Moving goal posts) or Widnes (Super League because we say so) posters happy at the moment.
End of the day, Halifax & Calderdale area has a rich history of producing talent at all levels.
If reqd Halifax can set up a system again that can & will compete at any level
Yes, time is not on Halifax's side but is Halifax/Calderdale a hot bed of Rugby League..............You bet. Just ask Doncaster! |

Viking Man, ypu forget one thing.
Crusaders, undeservedly put into super league cos they are helping to develop the game in wales.
Toulouse, wil probably endeservedly be put into super league for helping to develop the game in france.
Fax - sign up off quota players from development countries. Fax put into supe league for helping to develop the game in PNG
Excellent tactics by the board, my good man, bet SOC wishes he thought of it - would have saved him a packet
