I don't blame Leigh for taking the two, any team would've done the same in their position, but kicking for goal when you're losing by 14 points late in the game? Really? That's not rugby that.

I would like the bonus point if it was 6 points or under at the minute you could lose a game 12-0 which could be 3 unconverted try's & that's too much IMO

Dave - you make it sound like Leigh just came for the bonus point. Nothing could be further from the truth.

The win was only assured when Menzie scored six minutes from time. Once the goal was kicked, they were never going to score three times in the remaining five minutes. They got the penalty chance with three minutes to go - if there'd been no bonus point, would they have run the ball ? Probably. Would they have scored ? Possibly. Would they have won ? No.

We've had 22 league games this season. This is the first where someone's kicked a penalty to earn a bonus point. And you want to change the rules to cover a situation that happens for three minutes of one game in 22 ? (That's 0.17% of playing time this season so far)

Leigh deserved something out of the game. Be happy for them.

No they didn't. They lost. They got a prize for losing. It's symbolic of the namby pampby "taking part that counts" crap that this country's kids have been subjected to over the last 20 years. It's pathetic.
