Probably not too far off, although I did say in the first half you looked very slick with the ball but there seemed to be too much lateral movement which Ive not really seemed to see from Leigh and they seemed to be in a rush to get the ball out wide without doing the hard work to earn those opportunities. Maybe that had something to do with our pack though........

Sorry Greg but Manning must be made of Teflon, how on earth he got away without being reprimanded after the brawl is anyone's guess, he was involved in three separate brawls and one point and came in throwing punches from behind when the second one started up with Acton. Doesn't disguise our staggering lack of discipline when the whole thing kicked off from us conceding a penalty while in possession, but both sides were as bad as each other and no doubt will be facing the consequences at Red Hall in ten days.

With regards to the rugby match that occasionally threatened to break out, I thought Fax played a cracking game down the middle and the kicking game was far superior to ours. Was a very soft try for us to concede in the second half and maybe Fax need that little bit more quality in the final third given how much territory and possession you had, but arguably it was a better visiting performance over the 80 minutes than Bradford came up with on the opening day.

A typical cracking game for me between Leigh and Fax with the result still in the balance right up to the end.

It included all that seems to go with these games recently for good and bad which both sides contributed to, never a dull moment that's for sure.

We've had a lack of patience at times over the last few weeks, trying to throw it out wide when it wasn't really on. But I'd rather that than never throwing it out wide. Thought Reynolds added some patience to our game when he came on and we improved as a result, until then brain farts which led to the red cards.

Reading these forums during the season suggested that you had a good pack, but maybe lacked the guile to take full advantage. Thought that showed to some extent today.

Alan in my match prediction I said it would be a very hard and close game , it was ,I think Fax played well , we gave them to much field position , to many penalties,and less bunches of 5 than they gave us I still enjoyed the game, the result more, onwards and upwards, I think we WILL get beaten somewhere this season , it just won't be by Fax.

Possibly. But thinking positively, Sheffield game aside, we are improving all the time and we have run Leigh as close as anybody on 2 occasions when they have been annihilating most teams. We also competed well against Bradford for 75% of the game. Its all down to how we perform in the key games against the clubs around us.

The Leigh players will be in oxygen chambers and recovery this morning, then doing video work this afternoon, tomorrow you'll start training and planning for your next game. The Fax players will meet for 2 hours tomorrow night, in that time, they will train, plan and do their video work. They will do in 2 hours what the Leigh players will do in 2 days. Of course your team is superior in all departments, so does it therefore irk you so much that you can only just scrape a win past us..? Does it not irk you that despite having the best team in the league there are still allegations being thrown around twitter last night about drug tests..? Does it not irk you that your part owner / owners son was mouthing of and showing your club up on twitter last night..?
