Here's the crux of it- people have been offended/abused not just today, not just from Halifax whilst i contact with Featherstone Rovers, they have chosen to stay away- over to Featherstone to deal with lower crowds or do something about it, which is effective.

I stayed away today as a result of the attack on Dave Singer and the attitude some of your supporters about the whole situation. Not because of our poor form, I will attend the other games this season, just not Featherstone away, winning or not. My Mum did attend and got verbally abused 3 times- she wasn't too bothered just found it pathetic. But it may make her think about going back to Post Office road in the future.

No.

All clubs don't have mindless idiots like the ones who attacked Dave. Clubs don't have fans that put other men into life threatening comas.

I reported an incident after the game and was told by the steward to 'stop trying to stir things up'.

Pathetic. Featherstone is an utter dog dive of a place and I will never be going there again.

Keep sticking your heads in the sand ey boys!

You were doing so well, then showed your true colours and bitterness d040.gif

Well as a good rovers fan I am going to try and help you all out here and give you some valuable advice. Do not visit our capital city, cos I have heard there are a lot of stabbings, you also might want to stop crossing the road or driving a car as this too may be dangerous.

Anyway, back to the game.

My thoughts are that we lost this in the first half, where we just continually looked for penalties, most players were asking for penalties on every tackle and then getting frustrated when they werent given.

Our first half defence was pretty much as it has been for many a game, where we just missed tackle after tackle.

The highlight was Paul White going the length of the field and the low light was Paul White going into touch 5 meters from our own line, giving Featherstone possession to take the game away from us.

Whilst Danny Jones didnt really do anything wrong at full back, he didnt really make many return yards each time he took the ball.

All in all it was brighter than recent weeks and gives Calland and Noble plenty to work with.

Onwards and upwards...

I seriously don't understand you.

There have been incidents at a number of your games and yet you keep rolling out the old 'bitterness' garbage.

Fans are not coming to your games as they are concerned about your increasingly aggressive support. This is FACT. You cannot argue with this and you should not be proud.

I've been to a fax game back in the day when a fax fan ran onto the pitch to attack the ref but if you beleive everyone on here a fax fan would never do that cos we are all perfect. I have been to every game against fev since they have been back in this division and will continue to do so. Not once have i felt threatened . I didnt park in the car park for fax fans i just parked in the back street like normal and walked up with my fax colours on like usual and not one fev fan said anything out of turn. Infact the league game last year it was a fax fan who had had one too many shandys staggering about shadow boxing and goading the fev fans but like i say every club has these idiots unfortunately.

It's not illegal to swear in stadiums so what's the point in going to stewards?
I don't understand what people WANT Fev to do. Nothing actually happens. Fev's a ehole and clearly has a number of 'special' residents but if you don't like it then don't go.

What's it got to do with Halifax fans what happens at Fev and their attendances? Are our fans the jesus' of Rugby League and trying to help people see the light in some holier than thou way? It's madness.

Halifax only got 1,900 for a league game recently. Was that because our fans were swearing in chants (which they WERE in previous weeks)? No. It's probably because the Championship is boring and Rugby League is sh*te nowadays with nothing to play for.

Unfortunately not everyone felt like you, and if they feel threatened it is real to them, they dont feel threatened and intimidated for no reason at all.

I too chose to park where I normally park and walk into the ground, to be honest on the way in it was quite friendly, but on the way out there were plenty stood by the fence where the fax fans were walking to the car park, shouting the W@nky song, and "going down". Okay just childish banter, but there non the less.

I have always liked the passion shown at Featherston, and I too have been to every game there since we were in the same division, but I have noticed it get more and more vociferous and nasty over the last couple of games.

A shame you wasnt satisifed with todays effort either was hoping there would be a positive thread or some positive words regarding the car parking and leaving/entering/general operation of today

I guess there is going to be no satisfying some folk - we made an effort today and it looked to have run smoothly, but generally this thread appears to have been ruined by all those who stayed at home who werent actually there today and have done nothing but inflame the situation and blow it out of proportion because someone made a complaint about a few words from a few fans and come out with the usual rubbish that has been said for weeks

I feel sorry for those that didnt go, i saw a bit of effort from your guys today and things will surely improve, i thought it was a good clean game of RL that couldve gone either way, hope those that went enjoyed the whole day

Didnt see any trouble to be honest. I do find them playing the Rugby League is a family sport thing quite ironic after you can hear the chants that have been mentioned but i guess its the safety in numbers thing. The attendance spoke volumes for the relationship between the 2 clubs and i expect it to be worse for the semi final as even some of the die hards may choose to watch the game at home. The parking thing was a farce and i thought that although it was done with the best intentions its was ill thought out and badly planned.

I feel sorry for the Fev fans who are just interested in the rugby that have to get tarred with the same brush but thats just how things like this go i guess.

To be honest with the crap that is posted on here by fax fans regarding fev fans ALL the time since the GF incident is there any wonder some of our fans get heated?

Just because we dont use this board as our main forum doesnt mean we cant see what you are writing
