| The Bradford breakdown for anyone interested:-
Performance 2.17/5
Fandom 3.95/5
Finances 2.75/4.5
Stadium 0.89/3
Community 2.25/2.5
We beat them on performance with the league averages and the cup win.
I thought we would beat them on Stadium but maybe not and I wonder if its on a technicality surrounding the sponsors seats otherwise we should have the full 1.5 Facilities score. We don't get much for utilisation and nothing for Primacy of Tenure but the Bulls may score highly on utilisation given their manipulated attendances and closure of part of the terracing. We did get the big screen bonus though.
For community we do badly but thats pretty much out of our hands, the catchment area top threshold is set at a random 260k level which surprise, surprise Bradford just get in to make full points along with the foundation where they score 0.75 points. We are 1.75 points behind them on that alone and can do nothing about it which is ridiculous.
So with been 3 points behind them and beating them slightly on performance and stadium We must beapprox 1.5-1.75 points behind them split between finances and fandom.

I'm probably stating the obvious, but it all seems geared towards just having big city clubs in Super League which is what SL set out to do in the 90s with "Framing the Future".
But how does this catchment area scoring sit with Hull and Hull KR? To hell with all this west and east rivalry, they're "technically" chasing the same fans and if anything only one of them should be granted SL status, or dare I say it merge for a bigger and better Hull?

| There is page after page after page on this IMG grading rubbish, especially on TRL. We can pontificate all we like but outside the top 14, bulls position funnily enough, we just don't count.

Yeah it just highlights how our board can basically be as ambitious as they like but its nearly impossible for us to get in the top 12. We have very little control over the Stadium and no control over the community scoring so we somehow have to outscore the likes of Bradford on performance(this is hard to be a lot better than any team around us because of how the scoring is made up), Fandom we literally don't stand a chance so we have to somehow score max points on finance to even have a hope.
Some of the teams will have cooked their scores a little bit and they will find it hard to increase their scores from what they have now so we still might see a lot of improvements in some teams where as some may go backwards. I find the whole thing hilarious as it really does not affect us in the slightest, yes we had an outside chance of promotion through promotion and relegation but it was unlikely without us spending a lot more money and the new system makes it almost impossible because of the loaded scoring system. It will all be sacked off in a few years though so lets see how we are doing then and until then lets sit back and enjoy.

Yep and when he’s quoting the RFL and IMG it’s multiplied by 3
And as the saying goes at least a broken clock is correct twice a day.
But just posting some on thread rugby league news, take it for what’s worth.

| Not sure on all of it and how fandom works but in between the times Newcastle said they had withdrawn from Champ 1 and then saying there still might be hope I got awarded a Thunder supporters merit badge on Facebook.
No idea how as I’ve never engaged with anything to do with them on there and have been to their ground twice to watch Fax but apparently could be part of their fan base.

Full performance rankings and when we add our bonus for the 1895 cup puts us 0.22 points in front of Bradford and 0.02 points behind Batley. It highlights just how little of importance on field results are though when it comes to the gradings and the funny thing is if we had done better this season or last and managed to finish above Batley in the averages, winning the 1895 cup would have had us only 0.014 points behind Fev for onfield performance.

| Wonder if IMG realise that if a team isn’t performing well on the field you can have as many electronic scoreboards, advertisements and frills as you like but inside the ground there’ll be hardly anybody there to see them and with little to no tv coverage at our level even less on outside as well.

Yep, the Whinos are graded the best despite failing to reach the play offs and getting a couple of big spankings in the process. Quite insane. We may as well not bother at all with actually playing any games. We can all do something else on matchdays, save money in the process, and IMG can then announce the "virtual" winner in October each year.

This is exactly it. Everyone i talk to, rugby fan or not, says the same and at the end of the day i can not bring forward any argument against them saying, what's the point? If you wrote a crazy comedy play and put in what the RFL/IMG have come up with and implemented, folk would say it was too far fetched, bonkers. What is the point indeed, and we voted for it!
