Calcott , walmsley , jouffret, Murray had a stormer last season, woodburn hall , McComb, tibbs last season.

Grixs’ biggest mistake is relying on players who’ve been here a long time , tangata , larroyer primarily who are penalty machines ( I think larroyer came on at Wembley gave a penalty away straight away then went off pretty quickly). Murray , calcott , lannon hardly give any penalties away . I’d have even dropped salty a couple of times and tried maizen on the wing where he was successful for Italy in the wing . Inman should’ve had more game time.

As regards recruitment I haven’t heard anything, social media activity has been sp , only one who seems to be showing any interest is Jack billington a Huddersfield giants academy prop who converted from rugby union and was coached by John pendlebury . A couple of dewsbury players were mentioned on their forum but just speculation.

Calcott definitely, he's our most improved player by far.

I think the vast majority of the squad is already signed up for next season so there's not much room to change things too much.

I don't think AOB will be signed. Moore and Inman are contracted for 2024 and I can't see this crazy situation of having 3 "out and out" hookers carrying on next year so the money would be best used to beef up the forwards, no matter how good a player AOB is.

I'd move Moore on if at all possible..

Can't see that happening, doesn't look great giving a player a contract then asking him if he'd like to beggar off. And I don't think they'll be touching contracts now that Liam is confirmed coach, I'm assuming he'll decide who comes in from now on.

There could be interest in Moore from other clubs or we run with 3 hookers.Whatever happens AOB has to stay.

Is the rumour still rife that Gareth Widdop might be signed for next season? Would be great cover as a utility for full back and the halves and big enough for loose in the meantime.

I thought he was one of a number of high profile signings for Oldham who seem to be spending a lot of money for next season considering they have not been promoted yet.
