Another great display of attacking rugby, did it a bit tough with injuries today but did what we had to do.
Great to see Murrell getting back to form and showing why he is the best in this league. The type of captain that everyone wants to play for.

Why is that such a bad shout Charlie?
When Murrell is playing at his best his overall game and contribution as an individual and to his side is as good as or better than most and he can switch between 6 or 13 within the same game with the added positional options that gives the coach.
Tell me who else offers more, it wouldn't be someone playing for Leigh would it.

Faxcar , where did I say it was a bad shout ?I asked what Murrell was best in the League at ?I presume by your Answer , you think he is the best 6 or 13 ?As for your question about who offers more ?Yes I think Martin Ridyard would be more valuable to a team , when Murrell has scored as many points as Martin then you can compare them , as well as Tactical Kicking , and linking the Backs and Forwards , just look and compare Fax points for , and Fax points against to Leighs , we have scored most points , most tries , have the Leagues best defence , and ARE 10 points clear at the TOP , I think that gives you a clue somewhere .
While I agree Fax are the form team at the moment , as you have won around 5 on the trot , but 5 is not 17 is it ?Charlie knows .Does Faxcar ?

To be fair Ridyard does stand out at this level but then again maybe Murrell would have done if he had not been playing in SL. |

Back to thread. I make that 6 wins out of 7 and 1 draw with the last loss in June to Leigh away. We currently have the second best points against second only to the aforementioned Leigh. We looked a class above the Lions today who, to their credit, stuck at it and I can see why they ran Donny close last week. Keighley did us a massive favour today.
I didn't see what happened to Luke Ambler today but we really do need him for the Dewsbury game as this promises to be a real tough one and yet another must win with Fev playing Barrow at Fev.
Loving the end of season run in and Fax eventually playing for the full 80 mins at some point this season!.

I think Murrell offers as much overall, as any player in the Fax team which is all I can comment on from what I have actually seen on a regular basis.
Do I know anything? No compared to you Charlie I clearly don't know anything but then I'm not on my own as you keep telling us, but I would rather be ignorant than arrogant, even tongue in cheek.
However I knew that from your point of view the best overall player must be playing for Leigh.
Martin Ridyard is without doubt a quality player and this year with the team Leigh have he has looked even better but is he any better than Murrell?
If we could do a club swap Murrell for Ridyard keeping the rest of the teams the same we would find out.
For all the stats you have quoted about how well Leigh are doing this year it's not down to one individual like you seem to be saying about Ridyard, after all, how long has he been there, seems a long time to finally get them moving, what has he been waiting for.

Yep. However, Fev have to come to The Shay. If we do go undefeated than we'll move above them as we'll have won that game. If we lose to Fev then it's irrelevant how they get on against Leigh as we'll be behind them. |

Scored some great tries today with some really good attacking play and we looked good most of the game BUT why oh why do we let teams come back with late scores in the last 10 minutes?
We have got over the boring rugby syndrome we just need to close games out better and we will finish on a high, come on ads lets get more ruthless and go for the jugular.

Er the crowd was 596 today of which at least half and my guess is over half were from Halifax, yes our support has dropped this season but some people don't like going to the LSV twice in a season its a bit boring going to the same ground, I agree but I went anyway. Its sad to see so few Swinton fans it really is they need to get back to Swinton. |
