I think Thack's needs to improve his defence before I'll be fully convinced by him. His tackling leaves a lot to be desired and could actually learn from Bowman, who put in an excellent display of aggressive (but controlled) tackling and defensive effort for the under 23's on Thursday.
Couldn't fault his attack today though, very quick thinking and good distribution.

Another pretty good display and just went through the motions at the end as the game was already over and we probably had one eye on next week. Defence obviously needs a bit of work but we had a few players missing but the attack looks very good at the moment.

Sitting pretty at the top of the league and not too worried about everyone else because if we keep winning its not going to matter.

I was very pleased the way that our halves have played in the last two league games because I was one of the ones who were beginning to question their input after the two losses to Leigh.

We looked complete today. Robinson out wide, our half backs and great running from the likes of Barlow and Ashall.

I'm waiting for that guy from Rochdale to come on here to tell us how crap it all is.

I am just glad we, Leigh, are even competitive so far with what we have assembled the 'squad' for. On Friday we were asked for a 19 man squad list but only had 18 players, rumour has it no 19 was A.J.Murphy.

On dry ground Thacks was always gonna come good. As for Handforth, couldnt wait for him to pull on the blue and white when we signed him and grab a game by the scruff of its neck! he hasnt really impressed as much as i thought he would.

but yesterday he was awesome, kicking was supurb and he broke the line 2 or 3 times! class act.

Robbo out wide was fantastic, hes been playing with a hernia for weeks and if he can perform like this injured then god help our challengers when hes fit!

We missed Manning on the other side yesterday though i thought. Not a bad addition for Batley me thinks!

Exciting times at the Shay!

Handforth finally got back to doing what he does best yesterday. He got involved, he was commanding the attack, setting up and executing plays and even broke the line once or twice! Hopefully now he'll stick to those performances cos boy does it show!

Got to say how much better our half backs looked yesterday, well played lads.
