I heard they can't put the money together at Fev to pay for planning permission for the new stand that they got off Scarborough FC, so I don't think they're rolling in it quite that much.

Well since Grimmer departed, it left us a pivot short.
I can't read Daryl's mind but I wouldn't be surprised to see Kainy resuming the hooking role with Benny Kaye and Briggsy slotting straight back in at 6!

My sources tell me that your affable chairman was rather rude about Dave Merrick pulling a friendly fixture the other week and quoting something like a £20K loss because of it, hmmmm

A loan move for a half back, especially with the half back position being so central. (And bearing in mind Bradford's usual injury crisis) Also, what if he's lost the 'Fev flow' in his time away?
Here's hoping anyway.

| Rather rude??? Our chairman?? Was he in a polite mood?? Cos I would imagine he'd have been significantly higher up the P1zzedoff-o-meter than 'rather rude' given that all the players, staff etc of both teams wanted it to go ahead!! And yes I agree, no club at this level is 'rolling in it'. If they are, they will be shifted upstairs fairly quickly and one of the less effluent SL clubs asked to spend some time down here in the sludge and hence.... we could always have done with the income from a Bradford friendly.
Nevertheless....Plans afoot MM. Patience!

He's on a season long loan I believe. (I believe the club will confirm this this week)

| Another great signing by Fev. Wish we had Briggs to be honest, over what we have, as for me I am still undecided that Thackray and Handford are as good as the hype.

| Briggs chipping over for raynor who barges off worrincy to go in at the corner in front of the fax fans in the 75th minute for a match clinching score has a nice ring to it
Feel free to quote me.
I will
I dont think it will have a negative impact on the season, but i do agree that there will some added pressure on his shoulders, some will be expecting the same heights he acheived in his last season and expecting things to happen straight away, im not convinced they will at the start especially if things arent going our way
We will see though and its a miles better signing than grimshaw ever was for me

Depends what you want of course, but Handforth was the driving force on the field for us when we finished third, and I know for certain that we were definitely going down the season that he joined us until he arrived. Thackray I am not sure about.
As for Briggs, good signing because he is a good player, simple really!

He was nowhere near as rude as i would of been, that jumped up clown did cost us 20k, he didnt even have the decency to put his booites on before he inspected the pitch.

Well aye. This could be the case. Same with any signing. Like what will happen this season if Handforth turns out to be the player I think he is..
Your coach makes a judgement. You either trust in him or you don't.
I'll go with Daryl. He never offers me advice of nursing. I'll leave the rugby decisions to him!
Loans are fair enough BUT you still have to pay his wages and surely you must be borderline for the salary cap??
Wher are you getting all your dosh from as come on your crowds are not great???
