This thread seems to be like many I've read on forums over the years involving Halifax. Seems its never there fault when there's trouble and always looking to blame other clubs/ fans/ players etc.

Rugby league is a contact sport and hit ups are all part of it, all clubs have players that like to niggle in the tackels and wind players up. From what I've read it seems last night the Leigh players didn't react to the winding up so Fax took it to the next level, no need for it, let the rugby do the talking.

Leigh have the momentum at the minute, strong, quick, good ideas with the ball and it seems the Fax fans don't like it!

Think you're almost there with that one. Fax players have totally not coped with the original niggling by Leigh from the first match. They changed the game after being mullered in the first half by sending Barlow on to smash up the flow with blatant dirty tactics. Fax players don't seem to be able to return this tactic to the same effect, instead becoming embroiled in "revenge attacks" and failing badly. The passage of time between the next confrontation may ease the situation. Whatever happens - trouble will follow Barlow around wherever he goes. At the moment it's been a massive plus for Leigh and much of that is down to good coaching.

So, last night it was an attack from behind. Now we've seen the footage, it does look late and high, but clearly from the front and where the charge of using the shoulder comes from I'm not sure. Sam obviously caught something in the face/head that knocked him out, but it certainly didn't look like a shoulder.

Dane will no doubt be found guilty and serve a ban, and maybe a lengthy one, but I think more for the "afters" than the initial collision with Sam.

As an RL fan, I'm really happy that Sam seems to be Ok.

On reflecting overall, I think his coach deserves the ban more than Dane, and with instructions to play a proper game of rugby league would maybe have turned Leigh over last night. They started off on fire and we couldn't contain them, but a more sensible approach (and maybe Jono on from the start and Murrell fit to play) would have been more fruitful.

Might not of been from behind but I think the intent was there though. Either way,it was bad!

The supporter in question clearly hadn't seen the incident at all (was he even at the game?) as there is no way in a million years it could be said that the challenge was "from behind".

It was me who stated that. I was there and at the time I initially thought it was. Having had the chance to see it numerous times since on video, it clearly wasn't so apologies for that. It wasn't a case of misleading anyone it was a genuine error.
