I find it quite sad that people on here really care about whats going on at Barrrow, I for 1 really couldnt care less to be honest ! Lets concentrate on our club and our team and get behind the lads on Thursday. If we win i will then start to get excited for the game against Barrow who if we are honest are the best team in this division on current form (Fact). I do however think that if both teams played to full potential in the final (if we get there) we would see a cracking game and we would win quite comfortably . Heres Hoping !!

Barrow were down to a bare 17 man squad until we picked up the Oldham players. Half of the 49 players you talk about are reserve players. Any club who runs a reserve team would have at least that amount of players on their books. If they run academy teams, even more.

Regarding the salary of Rooney (who only joined us in late June) and Catic, of course, the likes of Webster, Harris, Black, Koe Love etc etc are playing for £10K a season - I think not.

You can bank on one thing though, if Barrow are fudging the cap, then every other team in the Championship is.

You not a superleague team and halifax have no reserve team and at widnes the reserves are youth which not count on the cap.My opinion and i cant believe your top players expect small wages.

The RFL probably claim they monitor clubs monthly wage bill but they also likely turn a blind eye to certain teams like Celtic for example. And the RFL are exactly not the most organized bunch and bet it would be easy to cheat the cap. And I doubt the RFL will exhaust themselves to prove Barrow or anybody is cheating-its not worth the effort.
They may monitor a clubs accounts but I doubt they will monitor the bank Accounts of people like Des Johnson who could easily be putting money in to a bank account for Rooney, Catic, Ellis etc for them to claim later. There are a number of ways of beating the cap and I would not be surprised if Johnson is doing this. And if he is good on him but how long will he last?

A good way of getting round the salary cap is putting some players on the payroll of the company sponsoring the club.
