I doubt the RFL would get involved but Barlow / Halifax would have to pay up a 'compensation' amount to Sheffield.

Just checked, I will happily give Sam the £3 for these... im sure that will be sufficient compensation for the one that Aston lost when doing his interview......

Well yes I agree. It''s where Mark Aston is coming from too. He feels that Sam and Fax have kicked his club by his inclusion in the team last thursday - the most public of ways!!!
Each case has 2 sides. If they can't sort it out between themselves a judge will do it for em unless Aston/Sheff decide to leave it be! |

Correct, they won't! They have Barlow registered as a Fax player - that's all they need!
The transfer documents were/are in order. Any 'clauses' external to that contract are whats being argued over!
I think this will be the last case of it's kind in RL. Any mid season transfer between clubs will have their conditions immediately legally challengeable and set in stone from now on!
Aston may not have thought he needed such a defined contract. Unwise perhaps? |

I don't think anyone takes it lightly.
I don't think san should have played, but I guess the club was happy he could play.
We haven't seen his contract, but Sam already played against Sheffield, at Aston okay (in the nines), so that is all about Aston dictating when and where he can play?
As I have said, on another thread, I will not go to sheffield again if Aston and co, peruse this through the courts, there would be no way I would spend my money there. |

| going round and round in circles this tread, instead of speculating why dont we just leave it to the powers that be and let them sort it,
the biggest game of ther season coming up on sunday lets concentrate on that and cheer the lads on, let this mess get sorted in the off season
