Probably not released at the same period last year.

| Quote: Nat (Rugby_Aholic) "... My point (that everyone seems to be ignoring) is why would a new or returning fan choose to come to a Fax game instead of countless other attractions that cost less for more.'"
You sort of answer your own question, if you as a committed Fax fan think other 'attractions' cost less and offer "more" than a match involving your own team then you are knackered. If even existing attending fans think the product isn't worth the price?
Bradford has been the crucible for fan plans for many years, and we've done it all, from the heady days of the genius Peter Deakin, who did know how to build and maintain crowds, better than anyone else, right down to the pound-shop cut-price deals that helped nail the coffin.
Personally I can't wait to resume the traditional Bradford-Halifax fixtures, even if we can't play in three foot of Boxing Day snow on Mount Thrum, but posters on your forum are already predicting your biggest crowd of the season against the Bulls, fair enough we'll bring a few but why is this? Nobody knows whether the game will be great, average or , so what will attract them? I'm no Deakin and don't claim to have the answers but it's gotta be that on that day, the price of a RL match offers enough value to floating speccies for them to spend their hard earned.
So it can be done, but nobody is forced to come or to pay, so whatever you do, it needs to convince people such as your good self that the price is worth "more". WHY do you, as a Fax stalwart, nevertheless think "countless other attractions ... cost less for more". "Countless"? Really? If so then something based on whatever those countless attractions do to make you go there, that make you feel you're getting "more" value. If there really isn't a way to attract more speccies with "MORE", then as I said you've answered your own question.

| Quote: Nat (Rugby_Aholic) "Halifax Electric bowl. £9 for two games of bowling and £5 for a jug of Beer. On 2015 prices you have £3 left for some food.'"
You're wasting your time Nat, some folks just won't be told, only because they have rose-tinted spectacles on or out of loyalty or because they have some sort of connection to the club or it's employee's or staff or volunteers. Your point is valid & you've also stated that you've continued to purchase your S/T next season so in my opinion your comments on this subject are balanced and the comparison you made to an alternative form of entertainment ie; bowling is fair, most of us have other interests.
I'm not mathematician but a raise of £2 onto £15 is approximately 13% increase ( unless someone out there in cyber world wants to question the validity of my use of the word "approximateley ).
This current b.o.d have got some neck in my opinion. If rumours are true that Harrison's Bradford Bulls job offer was made a long time ago, why did they hang onto him for so long ? Did they actually dismiss him & if not, why not ? If they didn't react to the results on the pitch & the decreasing money stream through the lack of speccies paying at the turnstiles by dismissing him, 'cos let's all be honest his brand of rugby is the main reason why folks resisted the temptation to go to games, will they make that mistake again & allow things to spiral downwards like they did over the last couple of years ?
If Harrison, as again local rumours suggest, had offered his resignation months ago ( seemingly when his old pal Jimmy got the Bradford gig ) but was talked out of walking away, why was he & his support team permitted to sign new players for next season ?
As far as i remember, Harrison had a thing about not employing overseas players, yet we learn that some of the new signings announced were negotiated while he was in charge. So what changed there ? Why not come out and redress the orignal policy to supporters & sponsors ? Surely this would have been a positive message.
In an email i sent to four club directors prior to the mid-season point about a few concerns i had, one of the three replies i received asked me to "judge us at the end of the season" which i accepted as the fairest way of doing things and in respect of the structure of the Championships, there is no longer the NRC to compete for, so in terms of was the season sucessful or not, i'd say on the field definately not. In terms of off the field, i wouldn't have a clue but i reckon a wild guess would have been a mile off hitting the break even gate receipts.
Good luck to everyone concerned for next season, i hope this is Mr Marshall's stepping stone into a long & successful career in coaching. I wouldn't have minded having a listen to him at the event this thursday but i'll be working instead. I can already feel a more positive vibe from Fax supporters that i talk to.

| I believe that KH never said he didnt want to sign overseas players but said it was in most cases because it cost so much to get them over here and settled.

Ahhhhh, i get you yeah, just like Jim Gannon & Ben Black when he cut them from his roster. The expenses from Claremount & Elland must have had a crippling effect on the club's finances. He did say it, he said it to me with cruder language but i guess it would be unprofessional to use the same terminology in a room full of supporters !

| Healthy debate but for me KH era as a coach has gone and whatever opinion he had is not relevant now. Its Richard Marshall's that counts now and we will see what transpires with a team consisting of players from various rugby circles. At least we have some new players we have never heard of putting on the blue and white for the first time. That in itself means we have something different to look forward to-at least at the start of the season.

I thought Gannon retired and he got rid of Black because he was crap in his last season for us? I'd have got rid of both too, not because of them been from overseas but because I thought we could do better. Im not sure where the money would have come from to get an Aussie here over the last few seasons and pay for flights, accomodation, and whatever else they normally demand especially when money wasnt even there for some of the much more needed things.

I'm sure Black earned a fair amount of money but he struggled all year with an injured toe and it was a poor short term decision by Harrison, he certainly brought in no better players.

In hindsight I think you are right although you could argue the 2 players he brought in had really good seasons last year under different coaches. Black certainly didnt go on to pull any trees up at Batley so i guess its swings and roundabouts.

Yes, I think we should probably now all agree the KH era was almost a time that we need to put behind us and move on, we have new faces and new names to most of us so a period of settling in but hopefully a positive outcome.
Or at least exciting, entertaining rugby being played,

| Are you guys full time or part time next year?
If you are going full time then you're going to need more cash coming in, which makes a rise in ticket prices completely understandable and really, something that you should be wanting as it's only through higher revenue streams that clubs without the super rich backer can make any sort of head way in the modern game
