The bookies dont often get things wrong, which suggests we "should" edge it. If either team loose their focus in the 80 that may determine the winner.
Would it be golden point like the cas game if level at 80 ?'"
Thats certainly what Bill Arthur said at last nights game. I really hope it doesnt come down to this ridiculous way of deciding a game'"
Any better suggestions?

I certainly have. If the game has to be decided on the day then the extra time should be played as it alway has been. Only then should the golden point be brought into force.
or
If there is to be a "golden anything" then it should be a golden try, which would ensure that the play would be meaningful.
The idea of the golden point straight after 80 mins of time gives a huge advantage to the side receiving the ball from the kick off. All they have to do is five good drives to get into the opposition half and then a good drop goal attempt.
It is a huge anti-climax to what would have been an exciting game.

Was hardly an anti-climax in the Hull KR-Warrington game, I'm sure you'll agree.

It very nearly was. There was an attempt at the goal from the receiving team, but it didnt last much longer.
This would have been more exciting if there had been, say, 15 minutes each way,

| I think conversions would be a better way of deciding it. Or drop goals. In a penalty shootout format. It would surely be inevitable a side would miss when it came to a prob trying to knock a conversion over from the touchline or land a drop goal. Still not the best method but better than golden point IMHO. Golden point could also be replaced by "golden try". A drop goal is too simple to set up, at least a try takes craft and team interplay. Would make for a much more exciting period.

Why?
You seem to think so little of Widnes and are predicting a 36-10 scoreline. Doesn't sound too tense to me?
