Cant help but admire the way theyre being run so far. Massive sponsor, sold more season tickets than half the teams in SL, big media presence. Hope they get it right on the field as well now.

| Going on their performance yesterday they will do well nd could possibly get promoted twice in two seasons. Tho I think the championship will be a bigger test for them.

Pretty soon the championship is going to be the most interesting league in the sport. Florida, Toronto, Toulouse, hopefully Coventry and a few others can get into gear! If played right, the RFL will have great opportunity for sponsorship and media coverage.
What's the betting that licencing to Super League will rear its ugly head again if these teams start to raise the interest in the championship?

| If they get big crowds - and maintain them - they'll soon be in $uperleague on merit.
The folk looking over their shoulders are at Shuddersfield, Salford, Wakefield, Leigh, Cas Vegas and, of course, promotion will drift further out of reach. You'll soon need a couple of Degsies to buy your way in.
Remains to be seen, obviously.

Good Morning Griff hope you are well??I myself welcome any new team to our RL family, though not at the expense of any existing Clubs,I watched the Wolfpacks game on Sunday and was very impressed by them, 3 tries scored by ex Leythers,I'm also looking forward to Sheff games this season, and hope you go well, I think the Championship will be a great League this year.

I believe the airline that is sponsoring the Wolfpack are now offering lobby as the in-flight meal!

So it's OK so long as they're not very good?
No wonder expansion has been so difficult over the past 120 years.
It's a bit like the UK soccer teams staying out of the early World Cups because they were just full of foreigners.

| I remembered this debate we had during the off-season on Toronto.
For those who were quite negative about the club, have your thoughts changed, or still don't like the idea and think it wont work?

They've set up their own partnerships with broadcasters. Premier Sports show it over here and CBC Sports in Canada. Catalan too have their own broadcasting deal I believe. Can other Championship sides do similar? No idea. Most SL clubs have their own TV Platform too. I think Ultimately the RFL own the broadcasting rights.

| I'll wait to see how the crowds hold up but 7000 is pretty impressive.
Away support will have been minimal.
It's five times what we got on Sunday, playing Bradford who'd've had to travel about 15 miles.
If we return to franchising, a lot of folk will be looking at the oblivion of a permanent life outside $uper£eague very soon. Sheffield aren't going to match their crowds, neither are Fax, Fev, Salford, Widnes and a couple of dozen other clubs.

Yes impressive crowd but it was their first ever home game and remember Paris, Fulham and Crusaders first home games???
Come back in 5 years time and if their crowds are the same or higher I will eat my humble pie!
