Sammut overrated. London played him from the bench on several occasions, not tactical methinks, rather he was ineffective at times. Has he ever run rings round Fax? Don't think so.

Not bloody awfull but not the player we need

Hasn't he scored more tries than any player we have in our team and more combined than both our half backs? For an awful player he certainly has tries in him and unless I have missed the last couple of seasons, that is exactly what we need.

How many has he created for others compared to our half backs? He is an individual capable of the odd bit of magic which fools people into thinking he's something special. He makes many errors and frequently takes the wrong option. He almost blew it for London against Widnes with his erratic ways.

That would be difficult to judge fairly without knowing exact stats but given our lack of tries it wouldnt be a surprise if he has at least matched one of ours.

Sammut isn't rubbish, but agree with Leon. He's an individual and not a team player. London prefer a hooker in Cunningham at scrum half and Pewhairangi at stand off with Sammut on the bench. Having said that, he might compliment "team general" Muzza in our halves and add some variety. Seems a great bloke as well (judging by post match interviews) so would slot nicely in the Fax Team Spirit. Get him signed!

I maybe wrong usually are,, I thought Fax has some good wingers already in situ with others waiting their chance? obviously not privvy to contracts and retainers list, who is moving on or does RM think one of them may slot in at the half? As that is where everyone else says we need recruitment. However if the guy is class and can improve our attack, but does he not need a quality centre fo feed him?, again people have slated our centres this year.

I might have just read an answer to my question, reading R M's thoughts after the game, J WH to half back which is something that has been touted on here for a while,whether that made the difference, but I looked at the live scoring after 20 mins and did not want to look any more as fearing another absolute thrashing, but the guys seemed to turn it round after the rejig at half time.

Strange signing really as in Salty and Sharp we have two players who make a lot of yards and are usually solid defensively. In an ideal world I would think our shopping list would look like this:- FB, 2 Centres, half back, hooker and prop. Obviously we won't have money to bring in 6 players better than we have already so I think we need to spend money on quality at FB, Centre and a half back. I think our pack is solid so you have to look at our shortage of points so something needs to be changed up.
