Quote: rovers "What planet are you on? there was no fighting in the south stand
The police charged into the Fax fans and started dragging people out, but lets not let the truth get in the way eh.
This was a tragedy waiting to happen, the person who started the fire is no way blameless, he racketed the tension up a couple of notches, as did the fax fans goading the Fev fans on the pitch, the fev fans trying to get on the pitch added to it. The Fax fans battling amongst themselves, after all this why the hellll did the police let all the fans leave the stadium at the same time, in the same dark car park, with no police precence. There is plenty of blame to be thrown around, i just hope the lad pulls through'"
What a load of utter garbage.
So YOU KNOW the fire was deliberate do you? Not some cig end thrown near some cardboard that
was seen on fire maybe by accident? (yer okay they should not have been smoking in a no smoking stadium but loads were doing it at Wembley at half time this year and I have smelt smoke in lots of other 'no smoking' stadiums in the toilets) Lets see what the stadium or police/fire services say when they have done their investigations shall we? I don't know exactly what happened but why would somebody do it deliberateley we were only 12-4 down at the time?
The Fev fans DID run towards the Fax fans as soon as we went onto the pitch and it was after that that a few of our fans started a bit of 'goading' which was chanting Halifax and stuff in the Fev fans direction, hardly reason to threaten us with violence like they did.
My mate noticed that the Fev stand had lots of stewards in front of it not long after the game had kicked off, notice none were in front of our stand in the first half only after we got moved to the other end??? At the end of the game some Fev fans made a point of flashing V signs and other stuff at us over in the corner of your stand on their way out and being very aggressive, good job there was a policewoman there and steward to prevent them getting any nearer.
Letting fans out at the same time??? You may not have noticed but most Fev fans had left when we were celebrating our win (who would blame them I don't) okay some stayed early on to applaud their team but ALL had gone after 10 minutes or so, we stayed for about 15 to 20 minutes as you do when you have WON!
So it was a surprise to me when we got back to the DHL car park that a few Fev coaches were still there and even more of a surprise that some had Fev fans hanging around
outside their coaches and BELIEVE me they had one thing in mind, to threaten the Fax fans, it was very intimidating and I have been to some football away games so I have seen this before and it was just like that. I was told by a Fev fan to put my flag away as there were some Fev fans that would have a go if I didn't - FACT.
You saying why did the police let us all out together and not have police in the coach park proves to me that you have doubts about your own fans, I agree there should have been police there but normally RL fans get along and have no problem, like last year against Barrow this is not football!
Nah SOME Fev fans did not take losing very well and sadly one of our fans has suffered as a result.
