| Just got back from game, great effort from the team but your right "fax" i am not sure about Matt Calland. His body language is not right and the players are seriously lacking a leader on the park.I though Mark "Jacko" Jackson should have been sent off the field today,Ronnie Laughton completly lost the plot. All credit to the guys when it got tough it was great to see Nash and Beswick getting really stuck in backing their mates up.

Sums it up in my opinion. Granted, didnt go there today, but to come away from there with a win means everyone, players & coach can take credit.

What a fantastic result, we have turned the corner & will only get better. All those who wanted Calland out, please now get behind everyone at the club & we will only get better!'"
Nash seems so unlucky he seems to get one injury after another

| Well the comments about the biased commentator are right. All Haven did all game were spoil the play the ball and go headhunting. Mattinson in particular made TKL look tame, every tackle he grabbed the players head and yanked it. Amor and Hill were no saints either.
Jackson was another matter. There is a difference between hard, tough, passionate play which I respect and liked about Jackson, but today my opinion changed completely. As soon as he took the field he went to punch and high tackle our players off the pitch. How he wasn't red carded for landing half a dozen clean punches on Beswick while he was trapped on the floor I'll never know, what do you have to do to get sent off nowadays? What made it more laughable that when he came back on he committed TWO more acts of foul and dangerous play, just shows what a deterrant it was.
Fax were no angels either and we got dragged into their stupid play, Royston and Nash in particular. Nash was lucky not to be sin-binned for taking a Haven man clean off the ball after a kick. Haven are that poor a side they tried to get into the game by bringing us down to their level with the sloppy play. Once we played rugby we were streets ahead of them. We would have had the game wrapped up at half time up the hill if we hadn't got too excited with the ball after going 12-6 up and if Paterson hadn't skewed his penalty.
In terms of the Fax performance our line defence is sometimes worringly weak but we scramble back well. Against better teams it could have been a VERY high scoring game. When we could actually play our own game we played really well. Our support play in particular for all our tries was impressive.
Black is back on form, he buzzed around the midfield and looked to take the line on. Paterson should stay in the Centres, he looked dangerous and looked to break through every time he got the ball in the Second Half.
Penky looked back to his sniping best. Watene is playing like a man 10 years his junior. For the first time really in a Fax shirt he is looking to bust the line and look for the offload and take another drive in the set instead of before where he would just hit the line and fade out and go missing.
Said had a couple of brain farts where he tried to act the big man against their pack and lost the ball and conceded penalties by mouthing off which was a shame because apart from that he had a good game in attack and defence.
We've got a monkey off our backs now by winning comfortably up there, now we can build on it as our main players our getting back to full fitness and confident again.

Stick out a non malicious, lazy arm apparently. Dave Alstead got a red today at Leigh for a high tackle. Was a bad one but I have seen 4/5 worse tackles this season (mostly against 'haven actually!) that have not resulted in any punishment whatsoever!

Brannigan did that today imo.

| We look a more composed side when Gleeson's on the field IMO.
Penky, although good, pushes the plays too much when not required.
Gleeson, Black, Beswick, Branighan key organisers for me.

I accept they're doing better. But in everyones honest opinion would we beat teams like Fev and Leigh in our current form? Because we should be doing with the squad we have.

| I am sorry a.n.other but today Brannigan was not the organiser today he was more interested in keep moaning to the referee all game.Yes hes a born leader but not today.Ben Black is getting some form back and great to see Shad Royston picking up a couple of tries, his support play reminds me in many ways of Kris Radlinski when he played full back for Wigan. The players allowed themselves to get dragged down to their poor standards and level, they were poor and a little more composure Fax could quite easily have scored 50+.

So what do you think a "leader" would have done differently today?

On current form it would be damm sight closer than it was when we played them last. The defence in the main today was very good. We had good line speed and some very hard tackles going in.
Are Fev and Leigh peaking too soon? Look what happened to us at the back end of last year.

| Just got back from Haven - how much more pleasurable is the journey home after a win up there? I missed the win last year.
I must admit I feared the worst after speaking to Cov before the game and finding out who was missing
Nice to see Blacky back to something like his best, Shad was great again, Aizue had his best game yet (shame about the pass that ended his break) - he ran strongly in attack and hit hard in defence. How the Haven no 8 did not get sent off for his 'assault' on Dylan Nash just before half time is beyond me. After the game Coxy on radio Cumbria said he was unlucky to be sin binned - I thought he was lucky just to be given 10 mins. Laughton was his usual incompetant self .
I was impressed today by Dylan Nash - how strong is the guy for a centre??
I still feel that we are missing Gleeson - the team looks much more 'settled' when he is on the park. We are no where near the finished article yet but the signs are encouraging at the moment.
Can't remember the last time my other half came away from a game smiling so much, she loves watcing a game with a bit of Biff!!!
