The horse has bolted let's close the gate.
O'h hang on FC Halifax have a game on Saturday.
You couldn't make it up.
Cmon John, dont be daft. The covers are frost covers, not waterproof covers. If you have ever helped the groundstaff pull them on you will know that they are a fabric which lets the grass still breath so therefore allows water to seep through. Plus, if you did put some form of waterproof cover down, what do you then do with the water that sits on the top? Get a mop and bucket?
I think you need to get the idea that there is a conspiracy our of your minds and just understand that it was good old Mother Nature.

The grass that is on the pitch looks half dead anyway which is surprising given how football does not damage the pitch and it were only relaid last summer. On that note does every ground get their pitch relaid every year?
I must admit though I do find it funny that most Town fans can not see the wood for the trees and think that Fax should in some way have contributed towards sorting the pitch out. They dislike Fax so much that they would rather gripe at them than the people it should really be aimed at which is the council. Maybe as longest serving tenants at the Shay the rugby club need to get together with the council and find out what is going on.

| ....and Bubba emerges once again! The voice of reason on here whilst making snide anti-Fax comments on his own forum.
I personally had nothing against the match being called off if the pitch was not going to be up to it but it was the way it was done which offended me.
Can you imagine the reaction from fcht fans if one of their games had been called off without the courtesy of the their club being invited to participate in the decision?

What a total bell you are. Yours and your fellow muppets comments on the fcht are laughable.
E.G we could not play as we owe rent, or the squatters this and that. Maybe its time you accept Halifax is rugby town the difference in attendances show this.
The match should of been passed to an RFL for a pitch inspection. If it meant the wendyball game could not be played then tough sure a local pub like Warley will let you use the pitch down there as its a pub team after all

Jesus. If I spent my time correcting grammar on the football forum, I'd never get any work done.

| Town fans simply cant get their heads around why HXRLFC should not of( ) put any money in towards the pitch. Just because they have a weak ass chairman who bows down to the council all the time and rather than kick off with them over the state of the pitch, made an offer to them to pay for part of the repairs, they think Fax should do the same. I would imagine that upkeep of the pitch is part of the rent that is sometimes( ) paid and if the council can not provide a pitch that is fit for purpose then that is their problem and their job to rectify it.
Maybe the council actually do listen to the rugby club more but maybe that is due to them being the longest serving tenants, who knows.
