We didn't deserve to win, but it should have been a penalty for the deliberate knock-on in the last play of the game.

I can't believe the negativity on this thread. Yes we have lost a couple of important games recently but hey can we please remind ourselves that:

"WE ARE TOP OF THE LEAGUE"

keith holden was brought in to the squad and was 18th man, if things carry on ide give keith a go at hooker because he is smashing it with the 20s,if he could make the step up we would have to see

Its not the loss that is the problem its the manner of the losses that me and others are not happy with. We look like a team who dont care and one that is clueless both in attack and defence without Murrell. We have halfbacks who simply struggle to create. We have some backs that are as fast as props and struggle to score. I was certainly not getting excited when we was winning 60 odd against Dewsbury and Leigh. The same problems from last year are still there now. Personally I dont think we stand a chance of Silverware if Murrell misses games. Without him we have no leadership or ideas. Some players for me have shown next to nothing despite being here for 2 seasons now.
I understand the U20s have many young players some of whom are injured. But when Holden and Walker have played they have done OK and atleast shown enthusiasm-something lacking recently. Mistakes we all have made them. But its the lack of interest and doing the basics which is the problem for me not the results

Maybe coming to the realisation that we have had a mid season blip and our squads not infallible, cover is thin at halfs and 9, and Murrell is the orchestrator and chief of our on field ambitions.
As far as the league goes were in a good position now, Fev and Sheffield have distractions, we should have players coming back to fitness, Karl now knows that anything but first choice in some keys areas doesn't work and the players now know that anything but committed, disciplined and composed rugby with a bit of urgency to get up and play the ball quickly just wont cut it at this level. I still think we'll win the league shield, the GF is another matter though, Fev and Sheffield have game breakers and people that can run the show more consistently than our lads 'at present'.
I expect Karl to already be shoring up our weaknesses behind the scenes, but it will have to stay behind the scenes, Oh and Gorgeous George! well I too wonder whether he hates us because he was once bullied by a lad from Fax as a kid but the reality is most likely that referees all ref a slightly different way, some are keener on certain areas than others, Im afraid in all sports you have to do your homework on refs and play them as well. With some its, taking sides back, offsides, others its tackle technique, forward passes, play the balls, standing square. George allows sides to slow the game down too much for me and I think that frustrates us and we get pinged for silly stuff and lose our edge and field position at critical times. Im getting tired of a lot of refs for allowing 3rd and 4th men to come in once the tackle is complete and slow the play down even more, we've have to be smarter in the contact area when George refs.

The point I'm making is that the best prospects usually sign to $uperleague clubs' Academies. Not all of them make it. If you look at who the Championship clubs sign up, there are more $uperleague rejects than Championship hopefuls.

Just my interpretation of the facts. You'll no doubt have your own.

Got chance to watch the game last night and we should have had a penalty when the Dewsbury player was offside after the ball hit our player and the guy was inside 10. It would have been kickable. Also one of Dewsbury`s tries would probably have been given as a knock on but Stokes decided it wasnt relevant to go to the screen for a change.

I can live wi it Colin. It's all part n parcel of the game.... always has been. I was quick of the mark on Thursday when Dews shoved it up you lot. Then, I was chuckling my bits off at your texts last night 5 mins from the end of the game, and at the end of the game, and in the car on the way home, and whilst I was having me tea, and on facebook in the evening, and again this morning etc etc etc
What I can't do with is the morngy sanctimonious accusations of childishness aimed at one set of fans whilst conveniently ignoring that fans of his own club do exactly the same.
