Hey, hang on Rich! Whilst the rest of the coaches you have quoted may not have won a GF, I think you may find that Ian Millward did - admittedly not with us though!
When we played at Dewsbury, Mr Leahy was described as hailing from 'Batley'. By the time we got to play at Batley, he had moved to 'Dewsbury'!

Didn't Karl Harrison win a Grand Final at this level with Salford? I'm sure they beat Leigh in a final that was played at Widnes. 2003 was it?

A chap on the Batley forum has come up with an interesting theory. Could it be that McCormack never had a 'system' to set fire to a ground when his team were losing.
It may sound outrageous, but no more than the drivel spouted from 'Clipper lighter Calland' over the weekend.

Thats right. Those pesky Oldham fans under the stand were so upset that they lost for the 4th time in a row or whatever that the tried to burn the stand down.. Lucky for us though that! |
