So you think the police charging in to drag fax fans out, the arsonist who tried to burn the stand down equates to only 1%, fair play to you

Quote: "There was no fighting between fans in the south stand you sending that in is disgracefull and will not help the situation, it is a complete fabrication'"

Only Rovers fans could half kick someone to death and then sit back and pollish their halos. I was sat in the north stand with my wife and you could quite clearly see the Police dragging Rovers Fans out of the south stand way before the fire even started.

It was also quite clear that before many of the Fax fans had even got onto the pitch, the Rovers fans were surging at the line of stewards and police. How you can blame others for your own diabolical behaviour is beyond me.

That Halo must be mighty heavy.

I have never kicked or half kicked anyone to death,
The halo is yours, read the threads and the Halifax fans refusal to accept there fans part in all of this is unreal. The attempt to burn the stand down, the goading on the pitch, ow i forgot we called you wnkrs, the police charging in your stand dragging folk out. This was there for the world to see, you are far from blameless in a shocking day

Oh I'm sorry where my eyes lying to me and was everyone else who sat in the North stand watching your abysmal behaviour and commentating on how terrible it was wrong too. Did I imagine the idiot who abused my wife and I when we left the stadium too.

If I have no idea of the facts, please enlighten me on why the police had to enter the south stand and remove individuals.

You sir are a complete idiot, crawl back to your own board and play with the children.

I don't recall one Halifax fan being dragged out of the West Stand before the evacuation icon_lol.gif They wouldnt let me in with one.
The general point people are making is that nobody deserves to be assaulted for supporting a team, some people that were drunk and disorderly were ejected from different stands supporting different clubs, someone misplaced a tab end, the Police, Fire and Ambulence services dealt with incidents, all of which happen in normal daily life somewhere in our country, people like Peter Roe should choose their words and tone more carefully in what is a highly sensitive issue when someone is lying stricken in Hospital. Journalists and Editors generally want to sell papers, lets not let facts get in the way of a good story now.

Quote: rovers "What planet are you on? there was no fighting in the south stand
The police charged into the Fax fans and started dragging people out, but lets not let the truth get in the way eh.
This was a tragedy waiting to happen, the person who started the fire is no way blameless, he racketed the tension up a couple of notches, as did the fax fans goading the Fev fans on the pitch, the fev fans trying to get on the pitch added to it. The Fax fans battling amongst themselves, after all this why the hellll did the police let all the fans leave the stadium at the same time, in the same dark car park, with no police precence. There is plenty of blame to be thrown around, i just hope the lad pulls through'"

What a load of utter garbage.
So YOU KNOW the fire was deliberate do you? Not some cig end thrown near some cardboard that was seen on fire maybe by accident? (yer okay they should not have been smoking in a no smoking stadium but loads were doing it at Wembley at half time this year and I have smelt smoke in lots of other 'no smoking' stadiums in the toilets) Lets see what the stadium or police/fire services say when they have done their investigations shall we? I don't know exactly what happened but why would somebody do it deliberateley we were only 12-4 down at the time?
The Fev fans DID run towards the Fax fans as soon as we went onto the pitch and it was after that that a few of our fans started a bit of 'goading' which was chanting Halifax and stuff in the Fev fans direction, hardly reason to threaten us with violence like they did.
My mate noticed that the Fev stand had lots of stewards in front of it not long after the game had kicked off, notice none were in front of our stand in the first half only after we got moved to the other end??? At the end of the game some Fev fans made a point of flashing V signs and other stuff at us over in the corner of your stand on their way out and being very aggressive, good job there was a policewoman there and steward to prevent them getting any nearer.
Letting fans out at the same time??? You may not have noticed but most Fev fans had left when we were celebrating our win (who would blame them I don't) okay some stayed early on to applaud their team but ALL had gone after 10 minutes or so, we stayed for about 15 to 20 minutes as you do when you have WON!
So it was a surprise to me when we got back to the DHL car park that a few Fev coaches were still there and even more of a surprise that some had Fev fans hanging around outside their coaches and BELIEVE me they had one thing in mind, to threaten the Fax fans, it was very intimidating and I have been to some football away games so I have seen this before and it was just like that. I was told by a Fev fan to put my flag away as there were some Fev fans that would have a go if I didn't - FACT.
You saying why did the police let us all out together and not have police in the coach park proves to me that you have doubts about your own fans, I agree there should have been police there but normally RL fans get along and have no problem, like last year against Barrow this is not football!
Nah SOME Fev fans did not take losing very well and sadly one of our fans has suffered as a result.

That just about sums it up for me the stewards were not just in front of the Fev stand either they were in it. It kicked off in the Fev stand before the fire as there were tannoy calls asking for Fev supporters to cooperate and get off the yellow sections the police moved in then. The Fev stand soon emptied after thematch as there was hardly anybody in the stand to watch their own team collect their medals. Well for that matter even the players couldn`t be bothered to collect them either only 4 or 5 came up to begin with the other few were brought from the dressing room in various states of undress eg no boots, no socks and boots no shirt. The others I don`t think came up at all.
I have every sympathy with Fev fans we lost last year too but we never had the problem with the Barrow fans we shook hands with many and told them they deserved the win. I was disgusted with what hapened on Sunday and to try to excuse the intimidation of Fax fans all day and the beating up of a nice lad( who has a job where he saves lives)by blameing the lack of policing is just sick.
